Tabgold has a slightly different version of the doc, according to which first timer rule and bracketing does not apply. Does not mention dates.

This industry (under our circumstances, besotted with the total ignorance and lack of balls by the Gambling Boards) requires an independent Horseracing Board, with members appointed from within the industry.
No person serving / having served on any of the current bodies must ever be considered or have ties with the operator in any way.......totally independent!
I have stopped playing the PA, JP and P6 for ages now.....!

but surely if you want to make changes you send out a press release ages before and have a major banner on your home page or is being efficient a tattoo for demotion?

Words of Vee Moodly
New rules apply from 14 Aug......but.......will explain them the last week in Aug...........FFS....how do you react positively to the logic...............the arrogance of those in charge is remarkable.

My concern is that if the P6 is so hard to win now with the inclusion of couplings, how hard will it be to win with no couplings. This type of bet can work in the USA with small fields but will be almost impossible to catch in SA with large fields populating the race cards.
As soon as more punters lose their money more frequently doesn't it stand to reason that they will migrate away from this bet and the pools will suffer?
A lot of guys have said that they would rather see a massive P6 pool on large days. This would be a better option then making the bet harder to win.
Are we trying to alienate people from the betting side or drawing them in?
I guess the P6 now becomes more of a lottery and less skill involved?
Good luck to Phumelela, hope it works out.
PS: Frodo you are spot on, make another bet called the dupla (like the old days) and include it with the PA. I think that may pull more people then making the P6 a nightmare bet to catch.
End.

Anyone out there who can throw some light / give the figures, of the no. of times over the past 3 years, a long-shot stable coupling won against its more fancied runner...
1. In a JP
2. In P6
if possible, name the trainer/s, owner/s and the track.
Tnx
