Without proper preservation, we risk losing much of what’s left of it, to the natural passage of time. As a new generation of racing fans emerges, memories fade, stories are forgotten, and valuable records are left to gather dust.

The top jockey of the day for the race meeting at Turffontein on 8 June is Kabelo Matsunyane with 3 wins on the day.
The WINTER JUVENILE STAKES won by TIN PAN ALLEY over 1400m was the fastest on the day beating the time of the older horses in the A division PINNACLE STAKES won by TEXAS RED.
A powerful late charge takes the Sean Tarry's juvenile, TIN PAN ALLEY, to an easy win in the Highveld Winter Juvenile Stakes (For 2 year-olds) at Turffontein on 8 June 2025. TIN PAN ALLEY was ridden by S'Manga Khumalo with his only win for the day. He is currently ranked at 16th in the National Horse Racing Authority's stats.
