The problem is that the stigma will probably remain unless some realistic stats can be gathered about the number of horses returning 'sore' in say the last year - and to compare this to other tracks - imo if GC is serious about putting this to bed, perhaps conduct an independant /anonymous survey among trainers and maybe jocks (rather to attack anyone who has a different opinion) - at the least this would result in more runners being entered (and therefore bigger fields) at Scotsville (if the stats support the 'no problem' theory) - or maybe more entries / runners (especially from other provinces) are not what they want? (Never ask a question if you know you are not going to like the answer?)
And from a distance I do not think the proposed changes to the Greyville track is a 'good thing' - but that's just my opinion.

Just had an sms from the Lunn's who have some(
) experience in horse racing here in Natal, and they are quite happy to run any horse of theirs at Scottsville. It was not great in the past but is now a good course to race on. Has a draw bias at the moment but so have most courses so nothing out of the ordinary. Some people just dont want to believe it as it does not suit their one eyed view on GC and their courses and view for the future. I think DB has been misled by his advisors and realised it so apologized. We will see Mr Jooste's horses running at Scottsville and that is great. I have now said enough on this thread and if people dont want to believe the Lunn's, Chris and myself then they can go and play in the trafffic as my Dad used to say!

Scottsville a great track
I've said it before and I'll say it again....Variety is the answer....ask any Scottsville specialist which track they prefer.....the same for Clairwood and Greyville...
two Calmettes Craig should sort you out....don't go walkabout on us.....I rather argue with you than talk to the wall.....
