Off da topic a bit but guys just look at the exotic pools for stand alone meets. KZN pools always higher. All that says is there is a lot more interest in GC racing. Reason I think is we get better payouts here on these exotics. Maybe its because of our "poor trainers/horses".

If this were not horse racing would it be any different?
Its seems the same argument with regard to the super 15 rugby and the fight between the Eastern Cape and Gauteng (i could be worng with the 2 teams, i hate rugby). But the whole saga was that nobody wanted to let the minnows into the league, but without them being in a league, how are they supposed to develop?
I havent been around horse racing for long, but even with my little knowledge it is evident that racings high stakes are circulated between a select few trainers and jocks.

I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

I wonder if that day will come when the Cape boys set up satellites and stables in the Vaal or Turffontein or elsewhere in Gauteng. Really what is the reason for restricting the movement of horses up north, now that they in the P control?
Surely rid yourselves of this obsession with KZN and move on, like The Great Trek did and Uncle Tommy.:S

So let the Great Trek up North begin now that it has been confirmed no restrictions in place. May have to pay TOLL Fees though.

Just as there should be no restrictions on horses running in any centre, so should trainers be able to run any horse of any ability.

any trainer should be allowed a satellite yard at any centre they wish to open one in..whether it is gold circle country, phumelela country or whatever..at the end of the day this is ONE country!

All KZN is doing is catering for mediocrity.......next we will have a Bezrin bred vs Opera King bred.....to race for KZN bred R1 million race.....what a joke.Imagine if WC ,JHB and PE said no visiting trainers ......racing wouldn't survive.Instead of thinking about yourselves KZN think about the overall picture of SA racing.....you WILL NOT survive on your own in the longterm.

The Us and Them approach is only good for one thing - War. Racing should be unified not fragmented.
