The sad thing in this game for owners is that patience does not pay off at all, you just lose more and more..theres always the 2 most irritating words..next time!

My mate Len states the obvious - many people are going to be affected by this guy exiting. So I am sure that the following has happened:
1. Larry has called an urgent meeting to try sort this out
2. Susan has called an urgent meeting to try sort this out
3. Simoto and Peter Naidoo have called an urgent meeting to sort this out
4. Lyndon has called an urgent meeting with Gold Circle to sort it out
5. Michel and Graeme have called an urgent meeting to sort it out
I wonder how many owners there were registered in 1999? I wonder how many there are now? Choo-choo, choo-choo the racing gravy train continues unabated. I will have a bet that not one urgent meeting has been called and within a few short months the mighty Politician colours will be gone and forgotten.

He is one of the most passionate owners I've seen for a very long time and it will indeed be a very sad day if he does pull out.
My advice to him would be to sit down, reflect on the disappointments on the day, set new goals and look forward positively. Don't always take the media straight up, it isn't worth it.
He has achieved so much in such a short space of time, let it ride and i'm sure he will bare the fruits of his love for the game in the years to come.
Moenie tou opgooi nie Adriaan, onthou altyd AANHOUER WEN!!

It is with real sadness that i read that the Van Vuurens are cutting back their involvement.
Horse racing survives on owners that buy horses, and these people are champions.
The powers that be should bend over backwards to make their racing, training and sales as enjoyable as possible. This unfortunately is not the case.
My advice, look after them like they are the MOST important people in this industry because they ARE.
How many owners have spent the amount of money they have spent in the short time they have been owners? The answer is NONE!!

Mr VV has probably just had enough.
Outside of ABASHIRI he has many bad horses.
His buys of OOMPH, Laser star ,Amsterdam, Deputy Jud have not worked out.
I hope he sticks around for SA Racing.

unfortunately mr van vuuren came into the industry cold not knowing anyone ..we all know there are more sharks in racing than in the ocean and also the game does attract its fair share of absolute scum and coupled with all the jealousy and backbiting, him and his family were always going to be encountered with the scenario they find themselves in...hopefully he works his way through all this and remains in the industry ..its very difficult for any new owner out there and the industry doesn't help either protecting them

Mr. V should take heart in that he has owned a Triple Crowner in the short period of his ownership.
Investing millions in horseflesh does not guarantee success, the best horse that raced in the colours that he now owns, named Politician only cost about R 5,000--- yet brought so much pleasure to the public let alone owners who did not want much to do with him early on.
Also spare a thought for the owner of all the horses named Roy's.........
So many horses and when was the last Gr winner?About 5 runners on July Day and not a place.

When and where has the OWNER ever been protected in this game ? Fucking NEVER !!
AvV run my bud run and enjoy your life with your family, far better option than this fucking game as an owner.
Owners are cows only to be milked by an industry made up of mostly uneducated idiots handling millions. Where in the world does this happen besides the racing game ?

Passion and love for the animal mostly CnC, but then I could watch them without owning one and being taken for a mug. ( I have paid my school fees for many years and am still paying every nown again) For a new owner..........shame !!
The only way AvV would make a success of racing is if he could clone someone like D B as his racing manager.
