de Villiers just pulled Johnson through mid-wicket as if he was bowling medium pace...(
Can these two bat for the next 100 overs ?? Because that is what is now needed to save the match...

Can't see Russell Domingo going...CSA will say that they want some stability within team now that Smith has retired...doesn't matter that he is not the best coach...strange how decisions are made sometimes and that is why excellence sometimes eludes us...SA have played excellent cricket in the last few years (especially overseas) and deservedly got to number 1...interestingly SA's ascendancy to number 1 co-incided with Australia and India rebuilding and England showing fatigue from too much test cricket and an overly head masterly approach from Flower...
Just as Australia's ascendency to number one in the mid-1990's co-incided with West Indies rebuilding phase... (they seem stuck in that phase
)
So part of the reason we got to number one was that some-one had to be there whilst other teams were elsewhere in their cycles...and, as much as Australia have problems with their batting and bowling (save for Warner and Johnson, no-one has been consistent in this series), they are on the rise and competitive as other teams (South African, India and England) are in decline / rebuilding...
The wheel turns...and so it is time to recognise when a period is over and another is to begin and to make the changes necessary to cope with the phase being entered into...take the pain or prolong the pain...either way, the pain is coming...we can take the Iceland approach (took the pain and now on road to sustainable recovery) or we can take the US Federal Reserve approach (prolong the pain and chickens still to come home to roost...)...

The headlines here read, " The Ashes are back. Now for South Africa". The Australians firmly believe that they can topple the Proteas and move back towards becoming the top ranked team, especially after fielding an unchanged team in the 5 match series and claiming 100 wickets in the process. They are talking the best pace attack in the world after winning margins of 381 runs, 218, 150, eight wickets and then 281runs, the most comprehensive in Ashes history.
Will be a wonderful series in SA, can't wait.
Anyways, here is the bet I took, so I'm hoping Australia can go on and win this game:-
12-Feb-2014 87134 SOUTH AFRICA v AUSTRALIA (TEST SERIES) SERIES CORRECT SCORE AUSTRALIA TO WIN 2-1 Fixed Win Pending Detail

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Would be a great bet for you to catch but that would mean that SA do not bat match out...knowing the state of the match (Aus win more likely than draw), I wish you well...
