The better team won...we just didn't have enough of our players to counter the performances of their players...
Well, time to start a new cycle and that means a minor clean out...and I'll start with the coaching and then with some of the batsmen and lastly the bowling...have a group of 14-15 players (5-6 of whom must be under 23) that you trust for the medium to long haul and if they play long enough, their records will also be impressive as those that they replace...
Need to recover...will post later...

Lol, Pirh! I wonder how Kallis felt, watching that match? He was asking (joking?) on Twitter how he could get a ticket to the match, and Mark Boucher, who has been retired much longer, told him to go buy a ticket. Funny to think that Kallis has probably never had to buy a ticket ... not since he was a schoolboy.
Pity about the result but oh, well, it was probably a fair reflection. I kept hoping for a draw, game and series, but it was not to be. My nerves are shredded like lettuce ...

Did the Steyn dismissal hit something when pitching? It looked to be swinging away and then cut back to clip the off stump. He did pitch it on the crease so it could have the batsmen's footmarks.
Great game and a well deserved win by the Aussies but great to see the fight put up by the Proteas. (tu)

Bowler's footmarks or slight touch on bottom of bat...either way I was crushed to see it hit the stumps...Morkel is a walking wicket so Steyn and Philander were last line of defence...
