What a beautiful clear blue sky in Capetown

somehow I think that SA will still win this match and that's why I just stuck £20 at 14/1 on them to win

Depends on how sporting Clarke is. At the moment us winning is out of our hands.

Only way we looked like taking a wicket.

I cannot decide which is more painful - watching Warner rip us apart or watching that defence attorney do his thing. Time for chariot racing

Don't quite know what to make of the Aussies' batting the last 30 mins - they have slowed down a lot - will probably try and speed up again after lunch - we need to keep them out there as long as possible; on the plus side for us, the wicket looks really flat (tu)

Do you think they will bat much longer? Perhaps 1 hour

The problem we will have when we go to bat is that the Aussies will be on full out attack with a massive slip cordon. Warner got a few edges this morning that would have been taken by a 2nd or 3rd slip but we couldn't go on an all out attack as we needed to try contain as well. If we are more than 2 wickets down at the close we will have an uphill day tomorrow.

Be positive - Smith to bow out with a double hundred (tu)
