If anything, if the bush racing is being run by horsemen like Steph says the vets will probably be a lot better than the ones employed by the under performing Jockey Club

Sorry you are clueless. There is nothing to expose as bushracing is not hidden and was always open to anyone who cares to go there. Randjes fontein race course used to be a bushrace site in the 70's and 80's. Many of sa's top trainers where invoved in bushracing and still share good memories. St john grey, mike bass, the great terance millard, all used to race at the cape hunt club. The zackey's used to take a truck load of horses to babsfontein for new year racing. Tobie spies and stephan moffet as y
oungsters actually rode horses themselves in bush racing. The list can go on and on· these guys are horse people and will not harm their horses. Relax, you are not being done in as a punter.

Thank you for you wise words Rockspider but please answer the question is it legal to race two horses from different stables on a 'bush track" and then enter them in a Kimberley race?

The Jockey Club vet surely would have to note any findings that would/did affect the horse's running which would be printed in the Race Card -
Again I say I have nothing against Bush Racing but I cannot agree that you can run horses in both disciplines without them falling under the NHRA rules -

If it was illegal then Phumelela and Racing trust would not sponsor such an event .
It is a pity that you will always find people looking to bring our game down that we love and work hard at to see it grow
Rock spider we need more people like yourself and Stef in kimberley that take the highs and lows of our game

Although the horse will still end up at the slaughterhouse, there is a humane way and also the inhumane way. As you know Carte Blanche, 3rd Degree, Special Assignment, etc pulls no punches in investigative journalism. Its what I saw. There is no hiding. A guy pulls out his personal firearm and bang bang.....

Naresh how do u think the jockeyclub vet puts down the horsecthat breaksdown on a racecourse also with a personal firearm bang bang and in my one horses instance with a 3rd bang because the first 2 bags werent that accurate enough ad mr h as for racing differnt trainers horses in the bush against each other i have seen some massive formreversals in the bush just to be brought back to earh with a big bang when the horse ran again what u are asking is the same that leon lots implied about the meds men we racing against how much true form can there b when the punter dot know which horse in a race has been given what if its true what the good has said gonna happen as of the 1st of augs i say poor punter r gonna b hammered wih the sudden form reversals

And mr h these same horses ran week in and week out against each other in kimberley were they get tested against each other and as for the new ones making there debuts here u have 2 be very sharp to hide them away from the eagle eyes here so if its running against each other in the bush or working a horse i wanna test against my own it stays the same somewhere along the line info would filter down to who ever wants to know the morale of the story is rather befriend me and then u mite get more info regarding the horses be it racing agaist other trainers horses in the bush or working them against my own
