Shrek, bud, even day 4 or 5 he wouldn't win the match if he bowls that many full tosses etc!

Englander I am not saying he will, we don't have anyone that will at present but you don't pick a left arm spinner to bowl 20 plus over on Day 1 unless you are on the Sub Continent.

Yes PK but not at 6/4... hopefully when they actually declare the price will be bigger.
Not being rude, but I can understand why your cricket team are known as bottlers... really guys where is the patriotism and belief, it was not so long ago I was listening to you all saying how you were universe beaters!! Blardy hell, I even backed England to win at 66/1 or draw at 10s when they were 5 down in the second innings against India. Its not about winning money etc, its a state of mind, if you always think you are going to fark up every time there is a little trouble ahead, the likelihood is you will fark up. Seems me and Winzip are the only ones on here who want to give your team the credit they have rightfully earned! And then have a look at the Aussie bowling attack... :
You could all be right but I will be both disappointed and surprised if you are. A team that just beat England away should not be worried about the Aussie bowling attack.

Englander I haven't knocked the side I recon we could easily get a draw if the batsmen apply themselves. I am also of the opinion that 6/4 is a bit short and also wouldn't expect a drift if the Aussies get around 700.

'A team that just beat England' ................................as India showed, that's not really a yardstick imo
Of course we would all like to see SA make 500 + as well - it's just a bit unlikely with Kallis probably not 100%, du Plessis certainly vulnerable, so all the pressure on Amla - Smith also needs to come to the party and it is doubtful imo if he is still wants it enough, so it's rather a case of being realistic imo
Let's face it, it's got to be a bit of a downer when a team scores the 2nd most runs ever in a day against you, and that after having them 3 down before lunch

We had our chance to dominate world cricket for the last 3 years, unfortunately we didn't...within the next 18 months the Aussies WILL be back as the top cricketing nation in the world imo... They always seem to take the game to the next level...

Frodo... we stuffed India 4-0 in England. Completely different ball game in India.
Good to hear Shrek (tu)
GB... can't see that myself. SA far superior imho.

@RGuru ... The Aussies are going all out to score quickly - they don't want another draw. And they know how easy it is to dominate SA mentally if you bash them early on ... Mickey Arthur would have told them if they didn't already know. He knows what is said and felt in the changing room when the pressure is on.
We've seen the Protea Test team chase down some record totals in the very last innings. They started out hopeless, as good as dead, one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. But somehow they fought through despite all the stats-gurus' probability tables. And the victories were that much more famous because of the courage shown when everything was stacked against them.
And sometimes the losses were equally fine ... remember Graham Smith, that hated and much-despised captain (I've never seen so many nasty bloggings as I saw against that man) coming out with one hand broken and the other elbow crocked, to try and bat for a draw against these same Aussies. He failed ... Mitchell got him out ... but he risked everything ... and in my mind and the minds of many others, he moved from being a good batsman to a being a great captain that day.
Come on youse ous! at least wait till the result is in before you start droning "Abide with me, Fast falls the Eventide" and other dreeky funeral songs. You may never need to.
