Racing needs to be transparent and run by a code of ethics that is not subjective.

This Cecil presenter character just mentioned that Dougie Whyte will be riding Abashiri in the July?
Is that correct, Zechner must be devastated.

If correct, not fair on Karl he's done nothing wrong.....did succeed in winning them the tripple crown. IF Whyte does ride & if he does get beat is the Azzman going to blame karma !!! It's a bitch u know.

I remember them mentioning before that Karel only got the gig because JP went awol

Look it's stinking but they stood by him in the horses biggest race , he done the job and got paid , if the owner wants to shop elsewhere then so be it.

I did find it funny that Mike Azzie blamed the owner on facebook then goes on to say Whyte was a very close friend :)

Karma, what will you do if Azzie blames you.............just kidding
Can't help but feel for KZ. He's done nothing wrong on this horse. Elvis, you're right, Karma is a b**ch. Proof is in Futura's performance after relocating. Abashiri won't win the July, not even wishing it a place position.

I've nothing against Karl Zechner but I think it's the correct decision by owners and Azzi. The more cramped greyville turf track with a full field is a lot less forgiving to jockey error / timing / placement than for example the standside track imo. Wylie hall was demoted on objection, Conglomerate and Mac De Lago on Saturday also involved in objections, all in big races. It's not a "like for like" switch. You cant compare booking DW to KZ, in my opinion.

Brendair, when last did Dougie Whyte ride at the Greyville track ? Now he's got to tackle the NEW track for the 1st time.... hmmmm

Merp & to be fair to the Azzman...... THEY'VE ALL GOT TO BEAT BLACK ARTHUR to win the JULY !

Owner & Trainer can choose and D Whyte broke all records in HK, Greyville now a tight track similar to the HK tracks, it is something i would have at least seriously considered.

True Elvis, but being a good Jock is not only about riding in your back yard. Some Jocks can ride day in and day out at the same track, but will only ever reach a certain level. Obviously being familiar with the track and knowing the horse helps but big race temperament, judgement of pace and being able to make spur of the moment decisions when things are not going according to plan is what you need a top jock for.
