I am open to correction to on this, the fore-runner to Sporting Post, the Alec Hogg publication, did the same "exercise" , and horse with a minimum of 9 to 10 runs (from July to July) have won the July. I kid you not, look it up
If memory serves me correct the publication was called, Racing Post, and Pierre Strydom used to write a weekly article (please correct me when you feel I'm talking garbage).
This publication was out approximately 1990/1991 (thereabouts).

The Alec Hogg publication was the Racing Digest and it had a weekly column by Striker started in 1989 , was a great read, still have a few of them

Sorry Craig, didn't see your post, just went straight to mine now that the name came to mind. Thanks for coming to the rescue.

Futura's prep seemed to go well and will be hard to beat as he can quicken up off any pace. My other fancy is Power King, coming in with a light weight and always gives of his best. Will be a runner as well and the 25/1 looks good EW value.

Just watched a few replays and I think Deputy Judd is a big runner. @25/1 I will be taking this today. If u like French Navy u gotta give this a chance as well. Had no room to run and if it got a gap I think the result could have been alot closer. (Replay in the Daily News)

I worked there as my first Racing Vocation- Alec would put the story together with PS every week

Mr. H/Craig, do you remember the article I am referring too?
