To offer to refund a yearly subscription for someone who is unhappy with the membership perks is not attitude ,being overlooked for a position is also not attitude but reconfirming they required a suitable person to fulfill the role.

I had a horse than ran 2nd today at Turffontein. I wasn't allowed to walk her into the 2nd box, because I didn't have long pants on. I was in checkered shorts (with a belt, knee high), a formal shirt, closed shoes and a smart cap, and my RA Badge boldly displayed, but that wasnt good enough to allow me to go into the ring and be a part of the unsaddling of my OWN horse that I spent money on. It was my 1st time to the track ever, in shorts; I am usually always in a tie and waist coat. Those in JHB will know that we are experiencing very warm days of late.
I watched like a fool from the sideline, behind "RA" security, as my own horse was unsaddled and taken away afterwards. The RA girls in dresses almost as short as my belt are perfectly acceptable, but a smart ensemble like mine was not enough to allow me to be with my own horse after the race. I wonder what would have happened had she won - would they say the owner cant appear for the interview because his pants are not long enough??
RA will be receiving termination of my membership. Not for the fact of the new rules, but because it only applies to "certain" people.

I or others may not been suitable for the role as there was no longer a requirement for a general manager.....as it was clear that the Chairman of the RA took over the position. When a position of CEO was created and filled by the outgoing chairman..... a racing manager was then employed without the job even being advertised....to this I take exception.....this is where the herring gets smelly....I am glad I was not considered for the role at the RA as I have integrity and do things by the book.....there are things most foul in that appointment and it speaks volumes about ethics....if anyone wants to get legal on my arse.... they know where to find me.....and I know where to find a good lawyer....:

When there's a currie cup final your season ticket is not valid, you have to buy your finals ticket.Out of interest do you ever see anything positive in racing ?

Perhaps the way to go would be to offer RA members reduced entance on big days and if they don't take it up sell to the public?

Western Explorer you are wrong. Perhaps you get your facts right the season ticket definitely include the final at loftus my son have season ticket for last 8 year. In term of racing perhaps when you compare with 30 year ago you can enlight me as the previous owner where their is improvement. I see very little

I am not wrong.for the final this year we had to buy our final tickets.we have a share in a suite and final tickets not included.same applies for Newlands cricket when there's a final. As for racing, the change in technology has played a big part in why people don't go to the course as in the past.
