Nice to know that the necessary changes were made ....................strange that the question could only be answered in anger and not as a response to the first query...........lol
I hope I am one of the 4 or 5 who believe that improvement is necessary and possible ...........would hate to be a 95 percenter......(:P)

Louis as I have already said openly that I may have at some time been able to get people involved in the game and enthused them to stay in.... but blinkers or even pacifiers are no longer doing the trick.....would like to say the glass is half full....but it is already half empty....more wrong than right imo....I will try grin and bear it and keep my interest at arms length until I see that glimmer of a hope of improvement.... then try and get people involved again.....but not holding my breath in the meantime.....8-)

I have also sent a mail on to Louis but the bottom line is that this thread has all the attention and drama
Many forget about the pages of racing talk, pictures and informative info on the bulk of the site

Sham Racing, I am sorry that you interpreted my post as "picking on the RA". Problems don't get solved by picking on others, I learnt that in pre-school. I dont read/study computerform, nor do I watch tellytrack ads (perhaps its my fault for not doing this). I pay a fee to belong to the RA and I pay large sums of money to own a racehorse and maintain it. Thats where it ends. My gripe is that the rules are NOT consistent, as I saw a significant contingent of the audience in the parade ring without badges nor guest badges. If these are the rules, I respect the governance and shall abide by it. However, I will not tolerate the inconsistency in treatment, as well as irregularities in rules. ALL rules should apply to ALL people. Not SOME rules applying to SOME people.

On the whole, nothing wrong with this thread (a few personal comments aside); it started off with a couple of owners who felt that the RA could have done more for them in terms of entry /seating at the QP meeting (and come to think of it, according to LG, all owners with runners on the day, should have had free entry - though not sure if that includes seating in a venue :S)

An extract of the response from Mr Wainstein was then highligted - now he may not have meant it that way, but the response came across as 'fit in or f off' - better / clearer communication might have gone a long way to ease the tempers

In turn this led to a few other issues being raised and discussed - nothing wrong with that :S

Just my opinion (tu)

Frodo,I think it has also become fashionable to pooh-pooh all negativity as just a forum syndrome...............the negative comments related to the response are in the Sporting Post, for all to read!
Communication skills definitely need attention!

Press and Greg....

"In the old days" short "Safari suits (with combs as well) " were counted as smart and were accepted as such on racecourses.....

Having worked hand in hand with Larry over the last 3 years, we know he has an open policy and if ever you want to discuss a problem positively call him or any of the RA directors. There is at least one at every Jhb meeting. You are also welcome to call us and we will see what can be done to sort out anything (Hibs has our contact nos or you can find us on New Turf)

Just to put this to bed...taken out of a lease from a suite at Newlands rugby stadium...

3.1 (b)...Should WP or The Stormers as the case may be,reach a Currie Cup final or Super Rugby final to be played at Newlands ,then and in such event, the Lessee shall be compelled to purchase all such match day tickets for the suite at the prevailing market rate.
3.2 WPR shall be obliged to sell such season tickets to the Lessee at the then current price of season tickets relating to the suite.

I now know why you are getting so confused....Loftus doesnt ever host a final so it doesnt apply to the Blue Bulls....:D
