And what the f#ck is wrong with a trainer saying "I give my horse a chance but I don't think he's an even money shot?" So he was wrong, this time.

The only human who has never made a mistake is the one that was born in the last two minutes,

Would you prefer the trainer to have said "I give my horse less than a 50/50 chance of winning" rather than "I don't think he's an even money shot?"

You do know that they mean exactly the same thing, don't you?

i don't appreciate being abused. but to continue in a civil manner , you have confused the concept of a trainer's forum and a misplaced comment by a person in the public eye . two separate points . as for my opinion on the conduct of a tipster , i have a right on this forum . to resort to vulgarity and unsubstantiated opinions will only throw this forum into turmoil and prevent people from posting . pirates , a little coolness is required in getting to a point . let's be positive in going forward ..

Ravin I say this with as much respect that is due and with the contempt that it deserves when it comes to the matter of unsubstantiated opinions you have no equals...

I did not hear the comments from Geoff or Anton but still believe Geoff was being honest. It had to improve after being beaten 9 lenghts 1st time out but I would have also been worried about the price as a trainer. We all know that there are plenty false favourites out there and Geoff probably thought on his 1st run 5-2 probably more realistic price hence his comments. I would be very surprised if Anton had even worked the horse before the race taking into acc that he lives down here.

Ravin your comment on the issue regarding Geoff Woodruff's assessment of the horses price would lead to only one of two conclusions
a) you feel that geoff was deliberately misleading the public
b) that he does not know what he is doing both of which are utter crap...
I notice too that in your selective recall of the pre race comments you choose to ignore the fact that he never at anytime said that the horse could not win,in fact he did say that it's the kind of horse that could win hard held or run unplaced...
is that substantiated sufficiently for you??
