But is it the trainer's job to inform the 'betting public' on the state fo fitness of his horses - it should be up to the 'racing journalists' to get this info and publish it - if P wants turnovers to go up, they should emply the right kind of people to inform the public on websites like tabonline and this information can also be inlcluded on the 'free tab sheet' imo

When racing was booming 20 years ago you got almost no info - Racing is dying just like drive-ins and Movies etc because there are for more interesting things for people to do then there was 20 years ago - All the info in the world will not make people return to racing - Whenever I've introduced new people to racing the thing that put them off was ALL the multiples of info they needed to consider before placing a bet - People want it simple that's why they love the slots and Lotto

having a winner in the sharks black and white supersedes a punt at the top end of the market :)

Quite often jocks (striker in particular) or trainers will give their HONEST opinion but heaven forbid if their prediction is not "spot on" they get slated as was the case today with Geoff Woodruff's runner in the 3rd..he dinkum did not fancy the horse as a good thing and thought that 16/10 was skinny...the horse shortened into evens and won by a street...I had a 20 minute argument with a brain dead "Pocket Muffler" who is convinced that GW's comments were a deliberate disinformation lurk...what a load of hogwash..and if geoff refuses to comment on his runners in the future I would not be one bit surprised, take the information in the spirit it is given...use or dont..horses are put on this earth to make fools of us and they continue to do a remarkable job...
