Scottsville Sunday

As a P6 player I think that the card has an open look to it with a couple of favorites winning and a few upsets. Just the way I like it :side:

Any ideas?

Haven't studied but don't you think If Only R9 has a good winning chance, good form ,good draw and jockey strike.I mean looking past her you practically need half the field

Fancy Diamond In The Sky as a bit of a lurker ,,,,

steady rain in Durban most of the day

Race 7 - Fiorella 5/2

I think she has a good winning chance tomorrow. There's a few classy fillies among this bunch but I think Fiorella is well-weighted here related to them. Tsessebe out makes it easier but she too had a very big weight. Fiorella was kept to 6 furlong in her first two starts and she now should thrive at the 7. Arcola was an oaks winner so Fiorella should be better the further she goes. I'm also hoping KDM had the choice between her and Miziara being the stable jock. If so, then this should mean he believes Fiorella is the better of the two, even with the weight against her.

Also will have a little bet on Isingamoya 7/1 in race 8. Another top race, the Howells fillies could easily win but there was a lot to like about Isingamoya's last win. Vision to Kill also worth a bet at her odds of 6/1

Don't think you are going to find something like that on this card.

Closest you will get is Beaufort in race 2 , Last time losing odds on favorites like this currently running in the high 90% success rate -- but not without a downside in the form of Wall Tag - could have done with a better jockey , and World Dreamer. Beaufort about as good a chance as you can get.

Just got back. I am not sure how much rain Scottsville had but Durban was bad.

Sorry I cannot be of much help. Some horses are coming from layoffs etc.
MOMF is right. How do you separate Fiorella and Miziara.
The same goes for the stable runners in race 6 and race 7. All are good horses with top jocks. Any can win. From a trainers point of view any win is a win. Listen to USO for a clearer insight of the runners.

My (rusted) 2 cents opinion is that I like Mirwa, Queens Plain, Fangia, Miziara and Neptunes Rain.
BTW....I agree with MOMF that Isingamoya will be a tough nut to crack.

a very difficult card guys, hopefully we could have some winners.

See the forecasts is for rain, and probably been raining there today - in which case I won't be engaging.

Race 1: Take your pick between Los Barbados and Magesh's Jet - If Los Barbados stays he could be the winner. but both have credentials to get out of the maiden ranks. It really comes down to which one stays the trip strongest - and the odds are not really value to facilitate a guess.

Race 2: Little to choose between Beaufort, Wall Tag and World Dreamer - Beaufort has the benefit of a few other indicators, Wall Tag must be questioned with the jockey choice.

Race 3: It's time for Toltec to get out of the maidens - Nice runs behinds Sea King, Gat Henshaw and Texas sky -- Neither the polytrack nor the 1900 looks his game -- should be better suited back at 1400 - could be the best bet someone was looking for ....

Race 4: probably the weakest of the maidens on the card , nothing that has run really earned credentials to get out of the maidens. But did note that making Miracles, Lafferties only runner for the day with Marcus Up.

Race 5: I really thought the Premier Dance formline would prove strong , but it hasn't panned out like that and puts me in two minds around In The Groove - not likely to get the pace needed to reproduce that kind of run. Queen's plain got a lot of work to do, but does hint at class, Flying Silver has obvious credentials. If the pace is really on - i would see In The Groove coming out on top.

Race 6: Chrome Blue formline also hasn't panned out - same issue - were do you get the pace in these weak races to reproduce those runs - there is a better chance in this race as there are a few of those runners in this renewal. Ever Dear and Crime Victim could benefit from this renewal....Crime Victim could turn the tables on ever dear as he was hanging in the finish on that occassion. - but it could be either of them.

Race 7 : Fully behind Tssesebe, Light on her toes only danger.

Race 8: Vision To Kill holding off Insingamoya - Lunar Rush, Neptune's Rain very classy perhaps other fish to fry

Race 9: Offhand Diamond in the sky looks the one to beat , and there is no lack of challengers Pixelate, Timeoous both possibilities. These three have the potential to upset the works, but I didn't really get to have a good look at their alternative forms CONNECT ME SILK TRIP READY SET GO (G.Wright) - G.Wright only has this one ride today. Connect Me outclasses the field on stakes earned.

Luck goes in cycles...maybe take a sabbatical. If you really have to take a bet Greg, take 2 or 3 horses that you think have the best chance of winning, and take a place double/treble.

I tend to agree with you a triple tempo as TOLTEC seems a good win bet, good draw and I prefer betting horse that continue to run second place and have 1 bad run out of placing as they tend to normally run very well afterwards.

TOLTEC for the punt on the nose then
