Is this the same forum where trainer Azzie has been slated for not winning with odds on favorites when returning them after a break?
I agree wholly that this should not have been made public on FB but that has become the trend in recent times.
We all know you live and die by the written word. It is there forever and you cannot hide from its consequences.

Karma is a bitch when the forgotten drama of Charl Zechner and Abashiri unfolded the writing was on the wall. He who laughs last laughs the loudest.

I say good for the VV !!
It's about time Owners threw their Toy's out
Of the Cot .
Maybe it's time to break away and start a New
Racing Club for people that are Passionate about Racing
and who are sick and tired of all the Bullshit in Racing .
And no Enhancers where everything pertaining to the training
Of the horse
Is done properly and done with Care !

Mikes "Abashiri "comments , they had already been posted on another thread
“He didn’t travel very well and when he got off the float he didn’t want to touch his food and didn’t eat at all for 4 days prior to race. I said to Anthony (Delpech) ‘don’t even hit him, let him drop out, learn how to corner on the left hand bend, let him run on and have a learning curve.’ It was an absolute exercise for him. He actually lost a lot of weight prior to the race, but he’s built up nicely and is getting better and better every single day. He’s been staying with Eric Sands’ yard where my assistant Natalie has been looking after him and I’ve been travelling up and down. He’s really doing very well now and put up a phenomenal gallop on Monday. I’m expecting a big race in the Queen’s Plate and think we’ll have him spot on for the Sun Met.” Gavin Lerena has been drafted in for the ride and Mike says, “Karl Zechner broke his wrist and Anthony Delpech has a broken collar bone, so we’ve got Gavin on board on Saturday. Whenever I’ve had a good horse I always try and use Gavin as I think he’s a good horseman. I’ve always rated Gavin highly and he is a boy for the big occasions.” Abashiri will jump from gate 1 on Saturday.

Wonder if there was ever a court case or a NHRA tribunal if the above statement could be used in evidence

That's a shame that, my thoughts confirmed. If they want to get out let them get out. Why would u keep telling everybody you getting out ? It seams they want a please don't go. The breeders will be gutted

Every racehorse owner has got to learn to take it on the chin, when their horses run crap. This applies to super stars as well..... they're not machines. Take it on the chin, don't throw your toys out the cot......rather. come back and fight another day

It is FRAUD !!!"
A quote from this owner on her facebook page --
I think the stipes need to charge the owner or the trainer -
If the owner can prove this(I doubt it very much as the poor horse has had extensive vet work and has been unsound for months) then r Azzie has to explain why he gave instructions to the jock to run "waaaay last" . This owner is openly saying Azzie and Jock committed FRAUD... I think perhaps the Orange colours will move onto another owner soon.
As I expected.. STIPES REPORT
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) MIDNITE ZONE (M J Byleveld) was exmained at the start and declared fit to race unshod in front.
b) THE CONGLOMERATE (AUS) (P Strydom) was examined at the start and declared fit to race.
c) MIDNITE ZONE (M J Byleveld) returned in mild post race distress.
d) ABASHIRI (G Lerena) returned not striding out.

MrH,I am sure there is an awful lot more to this whole saga than meets the eye but the thread is about her facebook post and if you read her post carefully, her outrage is not the bad run .....it is her ALLEGATION that the horse was prepping (or "not trying to win")
If an owner insists that their horses "race to win" every time they run,how low has racing sunk to, if that makes her the bad guy.(Naivety doesn't transgress any NHA rules)
I personally don't blame the Azzie stable, even if it is true, as it is a common strategy that has developed in our racing, but I do think the regulators should be discouraging it ........it breaches their rules!
Maybe I've raced too long .......I'm trying to imagine Jack Sproule's (ex-Jockey club, head stipe) reaction if he had heard a stable suggest that any horse was racing without intent!!!!!!

Rob I think the horse may well be "gone" - I may be wrong but he's unsound - I'm sure she/he has big vet bills to confirm that- Greyville was blamed for that but think that is unfair as the TC has broken many horses .
I doubt the horse was given a run as the vet report supports the fact that the horse did not stride properly. As in all divorces there are two sides to the story but only one truth - for me the truth may be that Abba should have missed the July... There are many horses that battle to find form after the TC and TT .. its a hard program starting in October when they start those smaller Features to qualify for those three races.
