Interesting that the panel discussion it was brought up that
Joey ramsden was in the mix with the purchase of this horse
He has said goodluck to them but not for him

Bishops Bounty dam, Nacarat was sired by 1994 J&B Met Winner Pas De Quoi. Craig Eudey, was an assistant to Gordon, when Nacarat was racing I think. Nacarat dam Tawny Red, is a remarkable broodmare and her offspring and their offspring have done wonders in the world of breeding.

I just don't enjoy the Derby and Majorca moving and I always like the stayers to be the last on the card - A million dollar race should really be able to stand alone?

Definitely from a purist's point of view, the day is not the same without the Derby and the Majorca - not sure if they are looking for even bigger pools with those handicaps - certainly not easy selection wise.......

totally disagree the derby is the one race that needs to stand alone not the million dollar race which was a once off by all accounts and is restricted and has no listed or group status ...can you imagine the English derby being treated in this manner?just go through the results of the cape derby and compare it to a gimmicky sales race its no contest...from a personal point of view the big days have 2 races to many ...its a pity there wasn't 2 or 3 weeks between the derby and the met or you would have seen some 3 yos taking on the elders in the met which with due respect hasn't caught my eye this year but the presence of the 3yos would have changed it much like the 3yos running in the queens plate

Interesting as he trained most of those decent ones from the family and I was surprised they didn't buy him at the sales. I thought he looked a decent sort but maybe more of a miler than a sprinter .
I see he has support in the betting.
As Naresh pointed out" Bishops Bounty dam, Nacarat was sired by 1994 J&B Met Winner Pas De Quoi. Craig Eudey, was an assistant to Gordon, when Nacarat was racing I think. Tawney Red -12 foals 11 raced ALL winners
Nacarat-10 runners 9 winners...and pretty much all were multiple winners and black type..
I really think Red Ray should be given a chance at stud with that dam line...pity they cut Brutal Forces nuts off , especially if he wins on saturday

Only 2x Graded races on the day, the rest barring 2x races are MR handicaps, July Day by far exceeds the J & B Day.
