Think Brutal force is a worthy fav in the sprint. Carry on Alice's last two runs have been nowhere near her runs to Alboran Sea but if she finds that form she's the best sprinter in the country. If those two aren't up to scratch you at the casino finding the winner. If there's any draw bias to the inside it becomes a lottery.

Since couplings were removed, the pick 6 has become very hard for smaller punters to catch. Fractional betting is all very well, but I can't think of anything more upsetting than holding the only 1% ticket to see 99% carried over.
I don't try to tip pick 6s so I don't know where your 2800 comes from.
A small punter has to take a chance on a couple of bankers to catch a pick 6 for reasonable money.
I do much better with PAs on a regular basis.

No big bets on the met this year for me but here are my picks, with reasoning.
Captain America e/w - The main consensus is that he doesn't stay. I disagree. He's had three races over 2000m+. The July is a write-off. He hated the slow pace, fought considerably and worked himself up way before they could turn for home, remember this was before he was gelded and learned to settle. Apparently he stumbled at the gates too. In the Daily news, he hit the front right at the top of the straight and still stuck on behind Legislate for fourth, beaten just under a 1,5 lengths. I think you can be sure that Orffer won't be hitting the straight that early later today.
The race that interests me is the Derby. He finished second behind Legislate, again, but the manner of his run stands out. For a horse that supposedly doesn't stay, it's really interesting to note that his 400m to finish was joint-fastest with Legislate at around 22.8 secs if memory serves me. Now we can say that Legislate definitely stays and was at his brilliant best that day. I don't think a horse that doesn't stay could produce a final 400m like that. That day he was ridden cold and produced late - Brett and Orffer say that the plan will be similar today.
Going back to the QP - it was a great effort from the Captain, stumbled out the gates again(too big for his own good) and was stuck near the rear. Similar infact to today's tactics and he produced a cracking finish to pass horses like Futura and Act of War. Today, as long as Orffer keeps him closer, say midfield, I see no reason why he can't have a strong say in the finish. He certainly has the class - just needs to put it together in a big race like this. I've always been a fan of the Captain and it would be great to see him pull off a big Gr 1, as hard as it will be.
There was some 16/1 floating around earlier this week - now he has almost halved in price.
and my mad e/w is Helderberg Blue - a personal favourite. ran third in this last year and may be able to land a blow if the pace is slow again, hopefully anyway.
Objectively, I expect Legal Eagle to be very hard to beat if the right LE shows up(there have been rumours). He is the best horse in the land, any horse that can thrash the country's premier milers(away from home, first time left handed track) and also win a derby over 2450m sticks out in my book. But this is a funny game as we know...
Another interesting fact is that both Futura(2 runs, 2 wins) and Legislate(1 run, 1 win) is unbeaten on Met Day..hmmm

Morning Clanners, Al Wahed is well and enjoying life on the "beach", his problems are of such a nature that they will never go away, but can be "maintained" and Mike is a master at his game. He does have ability. Having said that, if he is not feeling anything today and can run fresh he must be included. Small E/W bet at those odds.
I hope all have a fantastic day.

Agree Mac, looks pretty straight forward, after watching the QP replay over and over, Captain America was the only runner besides the winner to catch the eye, that said Legal Eagle won extending at the post hands and hills and if anything the extra 2 furlongs will suite him even more. He now gets 0,5 kgs from his rivals so on paper he should blitz them. The runner I fear most however is Smart Call, her last victory took my breathe away.
