Jono Snaith was confident that they would win the 4th with Buckinghamshire especially with a pull at the weights. Said the horse has been schooled and should jump on terms.
Great, was about to say how tricky the first leg of the P6 was going to be!
Just had a look at the latest betting, Seventh Plain (3/1 into 15/10), Buckinghamshire (2/1 out to 22/10) and Princess Royal (2/1 out to 3/1). Obviously someone believes Seventh Plain has improved since winning on debut and even though conceding 3.0kgs to Buckinghamshire, will beat him again. Princess Royal was most impressive on debut, whilst she may have not beaten much, she could do no more than win. Better not to stick this race in a multiple (for me that is), just not worth the risk when it comes to babies.

is the 1200 not the inside course at Turffontein ? 1160 standside?
Kenilworth is a bit stiffer imo
I think times are faster at altitude, I'm open to correction on that.

That's correct, however Jono did say they re-schooled the horse and expect him to jump on terms, however only the race will tell. You'd be absolutely muffed if he got left again and went down by a diminishing short head, not saying he can't win, but the weight of money on Seventh Plain does set off alarm bells for me. Having said that, if the trend of the fillies being more forward than the boys at this stage of their careers, then despite the drift, Princess Royal is not without a chance.

The Snaith stable won't have my money on met day, not a very good day on saturday, it happens but in the 8th, ochoncar runs 2nd last and beaten by a street, horse was pulling all the way and just faded in the straight, reminiscent of legislate's run.. not sure if there was something amiss, Julie only had reports up till race 7..
When you running with the big dogs, u can't piss like a puppy..

Hope to start the day off with a winner, R1, Night Of Stars. Unlike most of the other three year olds in the race, since winning her maiden as a juvenile, she has improved and is holding her form well.
The form behind her last win is very solid. Both the second (Promicing Polly) and third (Perini) placed horses have come out won the next starts comfortably.
Admittedly she is taking on stronger, but there are no superstars in this field and she should go close.

Howsit guys been a while since posted.hectically busy.
Anyway managed to watch the met "show" with jono brett and joey.
Must say in all my years of watching these "big race shows" not once
Have I seen a trainer go for his own trained horse as his best bet in the main race.
Also remember when yogas' horse ran a cracker in QP ,everyone ignored.
Beware of Gold Onyx.Long Run in and that sudden burst of speed.
Cold as ice and indaba to bring home the bacon.
Gold onyx, louis, futura, legislate ,helderberg blue (quartet boxed)
Goodluck everyone.

Almost certain Crawford tipped Futura as his best bet on the card at the end of the show.
