Robert Bloomberg on handicapping on USO 6/12/14

I recommend handicappers, professional and amateur, should hear this. He claims the handicapping is all wrong with the 3yo's by giving examples of the Dingaans placers by trying to justify Majmu's Merit Rating. (I am of a similar opinion with Zambezi River before his last win). For me, Bloomberg is the only one on TV who knows his oats.

Absolute genius in every aspect of the industry with so much to offer, sadly completely under utilized which leaves racing much poorer as a consequence...

...and if the gentleman that does the USO for Gauteng could please use the same zest to study as he does when informing us his all round racing knowledge and the tasks that he performs
If he spent ten minutes studying the race he would have seen that you cannot make his best bet the best bet.Worse , in spite of all the tools that are available to him,he chooses a replay that strengthens a case against the horse being a winner
Although we know the nature of the game, coming on national tv needs a more responsible performance

Yes he knows about handicapping, but that was not the place or time to do that,he was there to tip and discuss the days racing, not to give the viewers a lesson in handicapping ,wrong place wrong time, he was trying to show that he has superior knowledge to others in this mater. Even Stan Elley looked speechless, in my opinion he thinks he's gods gift to racing.

Anybody with good sense of course will utilize the info and apply it to future race cards!
Surely, providing info that 90% of punters will learn from ,is better than the girls, battling to find the right words, and providing info available in every publication.

(Stan Elley looked speechless because he was totally unaware of the facts provided, which , credit to him , he conceded)

He comes across as very arrogant. I was thinking to myself who does this guy think he is.

I must say that RB would certainly be on my shortlist of people I would enjoy having lunch with for a few hours........I am sure I would come away with more knowledge than I started with!

I agree with RF 100%, I was thinking the same whilst listening to him, another tick in his box is that he has the grey matter to go with his racing knowledge.
