and not in SA either BUT the dark area is the presumption that BUT for the incident horse A would finish ahead of horse B is subjective(and involves speculation of an event that could or could not happen) and in my opinion creates more confusion - I also think that after every objection the Stipes should have the commentator read out their ruling so at least the public knows how they came to the finding - Why let the punter(very few ever do this) wait until the next day or more to find out why the objection was upheld/overruled

And your point is ? We are not in the UK, are we, so what does it matter if the result would stand or not in the UK, or in Aus or in the USA or in Dubai - we are in SA - result does not really matter to me either way - but to me the rules as they stand were applied (and it was not judged on who the commentators were and what they might have said, or what Neil Morrice - in his wisdom - said, or who the owners are, or even what the more popular result would be) - and that's that. Objections are mostly controversial, that is part and parcel of racing - some you win, some you lose - let's move on

Frodo...I AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!! (tu)(tu)(tu) And for the boys that have been in the game for soooooo long...surely you know this game by now and sometimes the dice rolls your way and sometimes it doesn't! IMO...who cares about what they would have done in the UK, France, America etc etc...WE ARE RACING IN SOUTH AFRICA...and that's the way it is!! I have seen much worse objection results than this, and if you look at what happened objectively, there was no reason to NOT uphold this objection!! I have seen much worse objection decions than this one!! :)-D

Wylie continued to hang onto Legislate. Look at the lines on the Turf. Well done Justin and team. The other 3 yo horses kinda flopped. Justin showed me Legislate last Sunday and he looked great.
Ultimately, I also thought that Legislate hung first, near the top of the straight, but the last 200m of the race showed the opposite, continually. I feel sorry for Michael Leaf and Weiho, but thats racing. Weiho has had a great day today, in Gauteng and in KZN. Stiff luck.
To Justin and his team, what an incredible Season and well done on the Championship! Very well deserved, by a team to be admired for their organisation, logistics, passion and commitment. In fact, to team Snaith, racing is an obsession....which is reflected in their results.

Justin, keep lifting the bar. Those of us with any brains, will notice, try harder and improve, rather than stay where we are, treading water, looking for all the reasons why you are where you are and we are not.

WELL DONE TEAM SNAITH !!!

legislate is 1st 3yr old to win july carrying 56kgs.he won gr1 cape derby,gr2 kzn guinneas,gr1 daily news and july exactly the same races his sire dynasty won, only difference is dynasty carried 53kgs and was drawn 18 i think in a 20 horse field while legislate carried 56kgs which i thought would be too much weight for a 3 yr old,but the horse proved his class by winning.this is the reason i say it is the best horse in rsa.he ran against the best jhb had to offer and he beat them whether on objection or not,he beat them against all the odds esp 56kgs for a 3yr old which has never been done b4 in the july.

Upheld was fair IMO. What an incredible stallion Dynasty is. Legislate and Beach Beauty champions. And Dynasty too won the July.

Fair decision, Richard broke his momentum to get control of his mount after the first bump... Would have won by a length at least.

We'll done to Richard, Justin and the connections... Top horse!!!

Futura was flying!!!

Overruled....richard never attempted to change his whip yet if he was sure he could go past whylie he could have simply done that..poor judgment...am disappointed....all the same respect to Mr Leaf he surely is a reasonable man..he was as cool when he later came to the box..
