For me that was the worst July I have ever seen from a racing point of view. They make jokes about the Cape crawl but I never seen a Met run that slow. Greyville is a crap racecourse and the slightly slimmer version makes it worse. Jocks disgraced themselves by going so slow. Only Fourie and Byleveld made any attempt to get handy off that pace. Strydom did move around the final turn.
Then we had an objection which was probably the only bit of excitement the race generated. Still a horrible way to win the race. I am sure the winning connections would be first to agree with that sentiment.

spot on the time was almost 2 seconds slower than the consolation race and if im not mistaken the first 2 were the first 2 for most of the race...well done to noordhoek you preached the winner (tu)

You were missing the point...............I backed it 80/20 and get a refund from Hollywood so this specific result not the issue.............
As a general point though,we changed our objection rule from the French eqiuivalent to the UK way ,and yet don't follow their interpretation????
.................and the point that has been discussed often is why our stipes take no timeous action ,and yet uphold the objection, and that was the observation Morice made!
But,again, everybody outside the country knows most about our racing..........lol

@ Rob Faux
Like everything at Greyville they are following the Mauritian way as this would have definitely been upheld at the tiny Champ de Mar.

Rob,i couldn't tell you what your racing rules are to be honest and I haven't said in any of my posts if I agree or disagree with the outcome.
I watched race once in real time and didn't see any head on replays.Judging by the majority it looked the right decision, wether they had a financial interest to sway them is another matter.
You obviously no more about Your racing than me,but what is plainly obvious to an OUTSIDER is your racing body couldn't organise
A piss up in a brewery,if that is what you run your premium race day on,the track im referring to,then they should find some other form of employment.
