I believe so, seem to remember standing if the meeting takes place within 48 hours.

WTF is going on.....Tote online has a count down to Race 1 Turffontien which says 48min to race.....did TT get it right or are the Tote dicks all wrong.....PS a bookmaker has to refund bets taken for today.....you would have to place them on the actual day of the race.....:
Also on the Tote Betting Website no info about the postponement either....:S

No rain today - and with another dry day predicted for tomorrow, I think we can put all those 'loves the soft' nagme's back in the closet; best bet for me is Wensleydale in the last - the de Kock horse would have to be something very special imo to win first time out under the lights; also I don't think Ilha Bela can be beaten at the weights (even if she does go up slightly the ratings with a win - and she should not really as she is weighted to win this - it could just enhance her chances to get a run in the Summer); another one that looks hard to beat is Jumpstart in the 2nd - other races look competitive imo - especially the two features :S

Howzit Frodo, I agree with you on Wendsleydale, should run a big race and Jumpstart, I also think this one should prove hard to beat. I must confess, I'm not so sure about Ilha Bela being unbeatable in R4. Donning the infamous egg helmet, to me this is not a 11/10 shot, if anything, should be a much bigger price in the betting market. Whilst she has beaten Straw Market carrying the same weight difference as tomorrow, and she is a 7 time winner, 6 of those wins have been against her own sex. I think everything is against her tomorrow night, it will be her second run after a 5 month break, coupled with the fact that she will jump from the widest gate. If you want to back her, wait for time of race, you could get double the odds - I don't think this horse can shorten in the betting. The bookies obviously see it the way you do, hence the 13/2 bar one.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race 4, Pinnacle; Ilha Bela's price is relatively very expensive?; so #1 ROYAL BENCHER; shares a good weight differential with Ilha, classy, Alec Laird is currently hot; current price is 12/1 ask for 18's.
Race 5, Conditions; #1 AL CANINA; a very good weight differential, classy, lightly raced, running fresh, speedy; current price 7/2 ask for 5's.
Race 6, Java; #2 GOTHIC; oooh so easy and impressive last time out, suggests class will come, running fresh; current price of 7/2 is OK but push for 11/2.
Race 7, Yellowwood; #5 FORMATION; going out to prove she is equally effective on the turf, on a hattrick, in her very easy Emerald Fillies win she beat a subsequent winner into 3rd; current price of 33/10 is OK but shop for 9/2.
Prosperous punting
