Turffontein night 23/10/13

Its nippy in JHB, but not heavy cloud cover....

@Mac Race 7, Yellowwood; #5 FORMATION; going out to prove she is equally effective on the turf, on a hattrick, in her very easy Emerald Fillies win she beat a subsequent winner into 3rd; current price of 33/10 is OK but shop for 9/2.

She has already proven herself on the turf, she is equally as good if not better but I would be concerned over the 1800m trip as BLUEROUTE seems to have this field stone cold (tu)

ILHA BELA - Absolutely no chance of winning tonight, 2nd run after a rest and she usually battles in the softer conditions. STRAW MARKET great record on the soft, equal at the weights with ILHA BELA when 0.10 lengths behind her on their last start but drawn better than ILHA BELA and 3rd run after a rest.

Have to disagree on both counts :

Although both Formation and Bluroute can't be ruled out, I think both could finish unplaced - Formation has not won at this track and Bluroute is held by Classic Illusion when they met over this trip in March - also Golden Dawn 4.5 kg's better off with B for a 3 length beating in July - so neither F or B represents any value at current prices imo

Regarding Ilha Bela, with no further rain the going may even end up good - and even if it rains again IB has won twice on soft ground - so no concerns for me (tu)

Race 1 a couple of horses been backed i will be with Black Banca (tu)

Guys firstly r we using this thread for tonite racing as date is for yesterday and where can I can download a race card for tonite normally use tabonline but no turfontein card offered for tonite

Tabonline now has turfontein card looks like the big dogs were reading this thread
