I hope they run tomorrow night, two horses I think that wouldn't mind the going, if soft to heavy, are (R2) Jumpstart and (R6) Balse. Both have raced over further than the distances they are running in, so I'm hoping they won't be stopping when the others might have cried enough.
I make Jumpstart (16/10) my best bet on the card. It's run over further and tends to race handy, so from a good draw, I think she will take a power of beating. The next two in the betting are drawn somewhat deep, so I'm hoping Fradd can dictate the pace from the get-go and nothing really runs on in the conditions.
Likewise Balse (7/2), has run over further and his form in the wet is no worse than any of the others. Strydom mustn't get too far out of his ground from a good draw because one of the lighter weighted runners could try and steal the race.
Here's to hoping they run.

So there's hope after all, he did put up a good effort in the yielding from a bad draw, to none other than Wylie Hall in April this year. As someone said about a month ago, Balse may yet turn out to be a better as a 4 year old.
