SOMETIMES U KNOW BEFORE ITS OVER
12 years 5 months ago
I agree that we as punters are not jockeys, but sometimes when u watch the jock ride your horse, u realise quiet early that he is running for second, by keeping the horse boxed in, or going for a run down the inside at Clairwood, when we all know that the going is better on the outside.
Royal Zulu Guard was running second, and no real attempt by Delpech.

The horse was given every chance. i myself backed RZG and believe if he was good enough he would have won. He did come for a run on the outside ormaybei was watching a different race

I don't agree at all with Davashan's assessment of the race but if we all had the same views I'm sure that the forum would have been gone ages ago,imo the retorts given to other peoples opinions are as big a detracter to would be posters as the misguided opinions themselves
Give everything but up!

I watched the race. Peters said that he thought Marcus had problems during the race. RZG was given every chance and ran on at the finish and again Peters said that he feels the horse needs further.

Well put Titch...
With regards to the original post and many others like it on the Forum, it would be interesting to know how many clanners have ever ridden a racehorse at full speed in a race. When I was much younger I had the chance to ride a few retired racehorses at what I would consider a slow gallop and believe me.....it ain't easy....so before we go criticising this or that jockey's performance on a horse ( which we probably bet too much much money on to begin with ) we should look at the situation from all angles before hitting the keyboard...

calling someones views as SHIT and calling him
fcuking clueless is way out of line
lets respect posters views and if we differ then there are many ways to come across nicely

I agree - nobody knows it all in this game, and the sooner people realize that the better. Everyone has their own views, which imo they are entitled to share without having to receive disrespectful responses. I believe that is the purpose for forums of this nature.
Sticking to the topic, I personally dont agree that RZG couldve beaten the winner. I think he will certainly be a horse to follow, once he matures.
Play nicely.. (tu)
