Earlier blogs on the subject say that there will be a whole lot of port and road development in the area which would necessitate some expensive change to the course (Clairwood).

As far as I understand Greyville is leased from the DBN Municipality.

Greyville and Scottsville will not cope with the extra racing. Bald patch at Greyville not going to cope and rain in the Cape or clouds overhead make Scottsville unraceable.

Plenty land available on the KZN South Coast to develop a racing centre. Bring it!!!! Forget about Polytrack at Greyville that will be too tight even for Greyhound racing but may suite those that have got a woody for the Gynae chair racing.

This is interesting. Does this modification to privately owned property apply to all land and property owners in this area or is this a Clairwood modification only? If any party including Government insisted on changes that would impact negatively on my business I would have them footing the bill to ensure that my business remained operational or alternatively I would challenge it through legal means. I very much doubt the likes of Toyota SA would have operations interrupted without contingencies in place.

Perhaps due to a narrower Greyville track as a result of the Pollytrack? I was also a bit unsure on Ballies comments but would assume that this is where he was going with the comment.

it would be limited, because they intend to narrow the turf course to accomodate the polytrack
