as for mathew,
his promotional emails make me vomit
his grasp of level stakes betting make me vomit more
his wording and pretence of "information" is gut wrenching, it appears to be "inner circle " stuf when clearly sometimes ITS NOT
does he provide a VALUABLE service to those that dont have time to study YES 100%
would i pay for his service YES 100%
do i care wheter he punts or not , well not really most punters/gamblers change strategy according to whether they winning or losing so if he maintains his criteria then at least he is consistennt in hsi approach
do i think he will return a level stakes profit , this is the tricky one,m you see unlike "conventional" tipsters, he tips HUGE exotics. So he could fluke (no disrepect meant here) a pick 6 that takes him into profit.
Could any punter invest in all his selctions on a daily basis NO WAY, his spend is too great.
Would i DEFINATELY pay for his/anyones service if they only selceted/tipped < 5 horses per month FOR SURE

getting old is a great get out clause for many, another fantastic get out clause is " i was touched by a priest"

Also , most punting strategies will fail if the selections fail to reach a level stakes profit or as near to level as possible.

What an hilarious thread, in all fairness to everyone, it is all about freedom of choice.
I have subscribed to The Whisperer in the past, probably around 5 or 6 years ago.
Obviously Matthew promotes his winners and keeps quiet about the also rans, that is a way of life for every punter, not only Tipsters.
There is no doubt in my mind that Matthew is a great Form Studier and puts in hours and hours of work on that.
However if punters want to use his service, my advice would be, to be selective, if one plays every Exotic every day taking the full unit, one will be very soon out of business, but the amount of Winners that he tips, if one is selective, then one can certainly win on most days.
It sounds a bit sensationalistic with all " The Bet of the Year" stuff, but he has to advertise his own product and that is a decent Marketting strategy, no one is FORCED to subscribe and everyone is free to totally ignore his pleas for Membership, but no one should be having a go at him for running his own business.
Freedom of choice allows us as adults to make our own choices, take it or leave it.

Consumer code
The Consumer Code is a simplified summary of the Code of Advertising Practice to guide consumers about advertising rules. This quick guide contains extracts of sections of the Code of Advertising Practice that specifically relate to consumer concerns. It is presently available in a brochure format, in English, Zulu, Sotho and Xhosa.
Introduction
The essence of the Code
Summary of the Principles of the Code
How to lodge a complaint
Where to send complaints
What happens when the rules are broken
Where can I complain?
Any person can lodge a complaint with the ASA regarding the content of an advertisement. The ASA will deal with complaints about advertising content but not with complaints about contractual matters or service standards.
When do I complain?
If a person believes that the content of an advertisement is untruthful, misleading or harmful in any way, a complaint may be lodged.
Financial Advertising
Advertisements for financial products or services should take special care to ensure that the public are fully aware of the nature of any commitment they may enter into as a result of responding to the advertisement.Advertisers should take note of the complexities of finance, especially when advertising to consumers, and should not take advantage of the lack of experience, knowledge or trust of consumers.
Guarantee
If a guarantee is offered in an advertisement, the full terms and conditions of that guarantee should be available in printed form, for the consumer to inspect.
Money-back undertaking
The claim “money-back” in the advertisement should only be used if a full refund of the purchase price is offered to dissatisfied consumers.Where such an undertaking is given, the time within which the offer is valid should be clearly indicated in the advertisement.
Substantiation of claims
Advertisers should have available acceptable proof of all factual claims made in advertising.
Misleading claims
Advertisements should not contain any statements or visual presentations, which directly or by implication, omission, ambiguity or exaggeration is likely to mislead consumers.
