How long would you be in SA for Dave and when??
My recommendation: 3/4 week stay....
1.) Kruger National Park (Safari tents are awesome experience, the camp to stay in is Tamboti where you really get to experience the wild)... You can fly from JHB to Nelspruit and the hire a car .....
I would recommend 4 to 5 days in the park, self drive...
Check out the website: www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger/tourism/accommodation.php
2) The Drakensberg .... 3 days should be sufficient, see resort below....
www.southernsun.com/lifestyle-resorts/dr.../pages/overview.aspx
3) Cape Town and the Garden Route .... 2 weeks (Plenty websites to check out)
Self drive and book everything online imo, you will save thousands....

Dave, I can spend hours on the Sanpark website, pm me if you need any more info... It is eccential to book at least 8 months before you come as the camps are popular...
But seriously, think about self catering accomodation in Cape Town, you can then plan your day as you wish without worrying about being back in the hotel for meals etc....
(You can go racing at Kenilworth or Durbanville) .... I'm sure there are forumites that would gladly help you out with this....(tu)

Thanks GB..4 winners at Fairview should pay for it.just checked the exchange rate, very happy with that.
I think 1 week at the park and 2 weeks in Cape Town
In UK average price for pint is 45 rand
Dinner for 2 about 800 rand
Entrance to racing
300 rand.
Thats the 3 most important ones
What would it cost in SA for those 3 on average?

A local beer around R20/R25...
Dinner for 2 around the same (Cape Town prices) ... There are a few Cape forumites here that could probably guide you on Accomodation/Restuarant etc....
Racing, entry is free... You can have a meal at the track for around R150 a head.... Again the Cape Town boys could recommend here....
When do you want to visit?
