This is my comment on these 2 lovely fillies. When you look at them walking around the parade ring Ebony Flyer stands head and shoulders above Igugu on looks,a magnificient specimen of a animal and is bred in the purple. When these 2 fillies met in the Cape they were both bringing good form into the race,i went and had a sizable bet on Ebony Flyer and this is why i thought that she would not get beat.Generally Cape races are run earlier on on the slow side and a sprint up the straight and this is exactly what happened,Igugu was caught a little flat footed and Ebony Flyer had stolen a march on her. It was a grear ride by her jockey. Why am i saying all this, is because it is imposible to say HOW GOOD DOES THIS MAKE EBONY FLYER based on this run alone. The race was run to suit herIgugu looks to me to have come on leaps and bounds since that run and any filly to have won the July never mind that it is a handicap as a 3yr old carrying 55kg is something special and in my book although old and worn will be chalked down as a champion

Barry i hope Ebony Flyer recupes from her operation and comes back to make you proud
