The difference between a good and great jock is they can win on horses that are not the best in the race.
AP McCoy is a classic example.

Prebble and Fownes team up for HK six-timer
Report: Hong Kong, Sunday
Happy Valley
JOCKEYBrett Prebble and trainer Caspar Fownes were celebrating the most successful day of their respective careers as both landed an extraordinary six winners apiece during Sunday's meeting at Happy Valley.
Prebble's haul set a new record for the number of wins by a jockey in Hong Kong, surpassing the five-timer he rode in 2007.
It also meant the Australian took a massive step towards securing his first Hong Kong jockeys' premiership.
With only six meetings of the season remaining, Prebble is now nine winners ahead of arch-rival Douglas Whyte who could only muster a solitary victory midway through the ten-race card on Viva Guy for Peter Ho.
For several seasons now, Fownes has been the leading Happy Valley trainer but Sunday's six-timer also gained him a place in the record books by equalling Cheung Hok-Man's feat back in 1975.
The achievement also gives him an outside chance of defending the trainer's championship he won for the second time last season, although he is still seven winners adrift of the pacesetting John Size.
Overall, Prebble and Fownes combined for five winners at accumulated odds of 1,150-1. Tout Va Bien got the ball rolling opening race in Class 5 then Perfect Gear, Telecom Gogo, Jumbo Gold and O'Reilly Magic made their own contributions in Class 4 and Class 3 events later on.
Prebble also won on My Time for Manfred Man while Jacky Tong coaxed Fownes' Win Practitioner to lead in the final bound of the stayers' race in Class 3 to complete the sextet.
Only two other trainer-and-jockey combinations got a look-in on the day.
The consistent Classic Navigator (Gary Ng/Eddy Lai) gained an overdue success in the second race and the finale, the best quality race of the afternoon at Class 2 level, went to Dream Team (Tony Cruz/Matthew Chadwick).
