Lotto pays 28 MIL,how many horses would u buy & give them to ?

yesterdays lotto paid 28 mil - 1 ticket, I havn't checked mine yet.

Question is : how many horses would YOU buy & who would you give them to ?

My answer : buy + / - 35 horses, spend nothing over 200g per horse - TOPS. Spend all in all 2 - 3 mil. total.

I would give
10 to Roy Magner
10 to Corne Spies,
10 to David Nieuvenhuizen to help him off to a good start as a new trainer. plus a FREE HAIRCUT to him every month
5 to Ronnie Sheean a good CPT trainer who has little stock.

I don't see any value at all in giving Laird, de Kock, Bass, Marcus horses as they've got top stock already. GIVE THE SMALLER YARDS A CHANCE.

Scotia, I meant to ask you - I hope you put on your BLUE SUEDE SHOES on Friday.... the King would have been 75 y.o. & still kicking butt !

I would sort out myself and family and then give the rest away to the less fortunate and build schools in rural areas and help people to at least get themselves on their feet. To spend all that money on purchasing horses would be in my opinion obscene.

any trainer that rides the horses himself.

Would love to be able to afford to send a good horse to MDK or Laird and get all the media hype if it turns out to be a good one,Failing that support the small yards Lucky ,Uncle George,would also be good to be rich enough to support the animals when they finish their career,somthing that every owner should think about before they buy..

If you ever own a horse in SA then send it to Cape Town where the true pros operate from. You will have a great time there checking your horses out and seeing the sights and if you need a driver/guide then I am your man.

Me............I would support PE. I have recently really started to enjoy the racing there.

Perhaps 1 or 2 with Gavin and then maybe 5 or so with George Uren.

Then I would also invest with a few with Mike Bass. I think he is a professional and gives your horses the best chance to win!

All of these things right after I crapped my pants of excitment!!!

Its all about enjoying your racing. We have owned horses in Johannesburg and even though we had a few cracking good ones, the racing was just not as enjoyable.

I fancy retiring in Cape Town ao therefore I think that would be the ideal spot to base my owning career!!
PE, I just fancy. Nice area and reasonable trainers (I'm sure resonable training fees too!)

Well tommy im in the get on with it camp,would rather enjoy life than get old bitter and twisted,although results have not been helping lately,starting to worry about my old age:)
