Andrewest most of your post makes sense except the part of contract workers.
Why a contract worker.........
Put it into contents and understand why a company rather use contract workers and not permanent employee's.
The benefits is clear to see why Contractors...
The company doesn't have to pay the following......

Skill's Development
UIF
Workman's Compensation
Provident Funds
13Th Cheque's
Leave Pay
Uniform
Maternity leave
Sick leave
Overtime

The list goes on and on..........

Workman's Compensation went up for the new book year by 2%
Salary increases in the broad spectrum by 12%
This having a chain reaction thru all industries.

All industries rather lean towards using immigrants as a work force.

No complains from workers.
No Unions getting involved.

They would spent huge amounts having the immigrants register.
a Group comes around with connections and when they leave with bags full of money immigrant have a work permit for three years.
It makes it all legal.

Andrewwest / Umlilo

Got emailed this today and is quite fitting:

What a profound short little paragraph that says it all!!!

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

alcaponee:

well noted- applies to some European countries as well with socialist govts, eg dole in Britain. Even worse is taking the public's money to bail out banks & corporates (whilst CEO's collect massive bonuses!)...in the US, etc.

The culture of entitlement hopefully is reaching its peak; you cannot enrich one set against another & expect the havenot's to always remain silent.

A good expose is that of the Selebi trial wherein one comrade is at another's trhtoat and..the secret deals are being exposed!

Time.... eventaully everyone wisens up!

True Umlilo - the point really is that we all need to work. No one should expect to be handed a job without hard work. No one should expect to be handed a job without the skill to perform the functions within the job.

Within entitlement is the word title. To many titles being flung around. Too many managers of this and that without any workers.

saw many managers..title : Manager Special projects
corner office
PA and a secretary
4 phone lines
private boardroom
no staff
empty outlook calendar..no meetings booked..

guess it should be : MANAGER SECRET PROJECTS
