umlilo

you write..AND I AGREE WITH THE STRATEGY....LONG TERM>>>but not for the whites

>>>>>>So, what is the solution?

Join the mass in their demands on Government; think in terms of their mindsets- socialism, nationalisation, National Health, etc....become a COMRADE!

BUT THIS TIME, for all, black, white or brown!

Not only there might be practical sanity in it, but also security!

We are all looking for solutions- together we can!

or solution, like many young saffa's out here - supporting their parents already...sending £££ home to keep the house, to keep the car, to pay for siblings' schooling.

Strange how the wheel turns In the days of apartheid when the black males left their homes to work on dairy farms and on the gold mines and lived in dormitories 50 at a time eating pap sending most of their hard earned income home to support their wife and kids did we feel for them? Now hardship has turned on the whites and its very difficult to digest. Thats why I took the choice of doing kak jobs so that when the hard times arrive, and they have, I am and are prepared to do any job avaiable .My collar and tie have long been thrown away.

Don..
LOL...

I am an IT guy..28 years in IT...
from IBM assembler programming in 1979 to..the latest fad..TIM/TAM..
I retired in september 2004..
now refuse to work in RSA...for any company....
RSA Banks have a need for TIM/TAM..(security in IT)..KING 3 report includes..
recruiting in UK...
will pay 100 to 140 pounds per hour...or >800 pound per day..

The current staff compliment at the bank..that they have appointed..nepotism etc..
are all incapable of delivering the solution......
like having 100m sprinters in the swimming team..

the current staff are good at something...but not IT...
They pay the CIO..boss of IT...R1.8m cash...to R2.6m cash pa.
CTC is around R4m pa.
In some cases they pay these CIO's R3m to join them..

I have been a hourly paid contractor for 24 of the 28 years..
been around at +72 of the JSE listed companies..
Have worked with almost every one of these CIO's in the past..
I wont employ them..
the one is my mates wife..no IT skills..
The other...my ex girlfriend...no emotions..
the other my cousin...
I can name you 30 to 40 in Gauteng...top companies..all woman..few coloured men.

these CIO's have employed their friends over that last 4 to 5 years..
surrounded them with smaller men/woman than themselves..men/woman who know less than them..
men/woman who are greatfull to have a job at the pay they are getting..
men/woman who will support them...
they retenched the SKILLS...

Now the shit has hit the fan..
The KING 3 report now includes IT SECURITY..
now the big 5 audit firms are going to scam the +840 JSE listed companies again..
we are going to qualify your balance sheet..the shareprice will drop..the CEO,CFO,CIO will be fired...so we hire these guys..R100m pa..

The reality..
the big 5 audit firms...
they have nice girls..pretty...
very few IT men...
the men..bullshitters...
they are good at somethings in life....BUT NOT IT...
I have worked with them all...even the ones from IDIA and PAKISTAN..all PHD's..but like the PHD's our politician got...useless..nice guys..but IT skills=0...bullshit skills=100%..cannot get past a pc signon screen..then they lost..
my cousin is the head at one of these firms..pretty..

We are about +300 IT guys in RSA with 25 years or more skills..REAL IT SKILLS
these jobs we do before breakfast..

put the money on the table..
start at R4m per year..we might show interest..not guaranteed..
why should we...

I, and most of us have a EU passport..
have worked in EU land.. and various other hell holes...
earned 1300 pounds per day...
now...the rates dropped to about 700 - 800 pounds per day.....

we can afford to sit it out..
when we get tired in RSA..we will sit in Mauritius..

so don...
hope he has got a good income...thats the daughters boyfriend..
I am not greedy..just like a lot...

For Andrewest and Umlilo
If the future is so gloom.
No future for any white in South Africa and their family.
Why do you still contribute towards this country.

What i'm trying to say is that this country can't run with out an income.
Why do you still pay Tax, Vat etc?
It's anyway going to be used against you eventually.

Kobus,

you, me and an handfull of white males are in a fortunate position..
we have more than enough to see us thru then next period till 2015..
purely because..we were at the right place at the right time..
not because we were so great a businessman..
not because we were so clever in whatever...
its like a poker game..the cards make the person..

stand back for a moment...
piet's grandfather worked on the railways...
piets's father worked on the railways.......
piet got a bursary via his father/railways to go and study..4 years..
piet joined the railways in 1982...
so piet is now..48/49...
piet is a 102 grade at spoornet..
piet's years of service and age tally up to more than 75...
piet has to go..

all the railways pensions were transfered during 2000/1 to provident funds..
piet does have 2 children at school..
the one std 9..
the other std 8..
both want to study..
piet's wife also works at railways..spoornet...

here are some numbers..
1988....railways employ 160,000 staff..transnet group..about 460,000 staff
2008....railways employ 36,000 staff..transnet group..about 160,000 staff

now do the EE ACT numbers...
5% of the railways/spoornet staff can be white..
36,000 x 5% = about 1800 staff that can be white..

840 towns in RSA...
1800 white staff / 840 towns = about 2 white staff members per town..

so piet stays in brakpan...
he is HOPING that he and his wife will make up the 2 white people from Brakpan.

unfortunately the cards are dealt..not a winning hand for Piet..

now Piet wants his pension..
2 months drag on..because they have lost the pension fund money in august 2008..buying MTN in the USA....

after everything is tallied up..paid..
Piet got a house in Brakpan..paid up..
2 cars..paid up..
2 TV sets..
now he is in the top 2 % of the world...1 car and 2 TV's per household = top2%

piet's got R200k in the bank..
he needs min R10K per month to pay medical aid, insurance, telephone, rates& taxes..food..
they hardly eat...
he can last 20 months...

HE is not going to pay tax ever again...because he is not going to find employment again..
He pays very little VAT..because he buys so little..
He is going to do this for max 20 months..then his contibution = R0

He is not going to find employment anywhere..
Why..
he is over 45..
he is a white male..

before you start..
here are a few numbers again..
I have businesses in BRAKPAN, BOKSBURG, KEMPTON, KRUGERSDORP etc..
in Brakpan...
white male works shifts at NC setter..R27.00 ph..40 hours per week..
Tool & die maker works for max R35.00 per hour..40 hours per week..

I charge R3800.00 pm rent for houses in Brakpan..
they pay weekly...well they dont pay that often..anymore
sensless to throw them out...
the next lot don't have deposits..
within 2 months the same problem..

This is the reality..
The factory/retail building with flat on top..with 2 semi house on the same stand..in the centre of town...

by 2005..had an offer in my hand for R2,500,000.00.did not sell.income R21k pm
2009..cannot sell for R800K..income dropped to R15k pm..real payments cannot fire the employees (except for EE act) because they don't have the retrenchment pay in the bank...

SO ...COMPANY TAXES..the government will get 0..nill..niks..f...

EMPLOYEE TAXES...
these companies must let go of the EE act (white employees)..about 300,000
these companies must let go of the other employees to get back to 16.5% of turnover paid to salaries...

The problem is..Company turnover is down..
like this..
1988 - Spoornet R220m per day
2009 - SPoornet

Of all those employed by the Railways back in the 70/80s how many could actually read or wright properly. Most only went to std 6. I remember catching the train to school whites in the first 4 carriages going into town and in the last 4 returning. Train driver/assistant train driver back guard who clipped the tickets off one carriage and another to do the other 3 white carriages. 3 conductors clipped the non white section of the train. So thats 6 fully employed staff per train. Trains ran on Southern Suburbs line Cape town to Simonstown and Cape Flats Cape Town to Heathfield and the Northern Line. So maybe 20 trains running at the same time with 6 staff on each which was maybe 3 too many per train add that up in wages over a year. Then what about all the ticket offices on each and every station how many people work in there. Then on CT station all these men doing nothing walking around with a fag hanging out of their mouth and a cup of coffee in the hand. Then there were all those people working in the Spoornet/Railways office on the Foreshore. You go in there and its "I can only help you with the first half of your query but the other girl on floor 6 can process the second part and when she has done that then you bring it down here again and the floor manger can sign it off and he will give you a ticket then you take that ticket back upstairs only this time to the 5th floor where they take the payments. Maybe a building employing say 200 people where they could have done with 50. So another 150 in wasted salaries. I dont know how it works nowadays. Wha

What about the buses. Green and cream were the white buses and Golden Arrow for the blacks. You stand at the bus stop and 5 Golden Arrow buses go past half empty cant stop because you are the only passenger waiting. Then along comes the Green Bus. Whites on the bottom Coloureds on the top. Sorry white boy you cant get on because the white section is full but "conductor cant I sit on top" " No rules is rules". How many millions and billions were wasted over the years. Now its caught up and the poor citizens must suffer for the politicians mismanagement in order to keep their voters happy so when it came to elections they were certs to win by landslides everytime so that there constitution could not be challanged or altered by having a strong opposition.

. They had to cut the staff. Now the council well that was a whole new ball game

the fact remains

during the 80's
the turnover was R220m per day..
the staff was many..160,000
BUT THE 16.5% of TURNOVER was not exceeded that went to salaries...

Now...20 years later....
the turnover is < R200m per month..
the staff is less ..36,000
but the SALARIES is >28% of turnover..

LOOKING BACK AT THE PATTERNS..WHAT DID THE COMPANIES DO...
80's..we expanded..
90's..we right sized..
00's..we down sized..look at the staff and turnover...above example
01's..we capsize..

do the sums..

it seems they can all read and write..

BUT SUMS seems to be the problem..

the law states..for every day leave an employee has, the money must be in the bank..@#$%^&* the law...it does not apply to them...

all these have NEGATIVE BANK BALANCES...must be banckrupt..CEO,CFO should be in jail...@#$%^& the law...the law does not apply to them..

every town council (+840) is banckrupt..
every hospital is banckrupt..
every firestation is banckrupt..
SABC is banckrupt..
ESCOM is banckrupt..

every one of the +840 jse listed companies are on the verge of banckruptcy..
where are the auditors..big 5...scheming how to commit....morfine.cloth & rope.

all 4 major banks are banckrupt ..just like Saambou..
they are all bullshitting the investors..

common sense tells you..
not selling new products..bonds..hp's..credit cards..all on ITC..
current customers are defaulting...

when the outflow (monthly expenses such as >28% on salaries..etc) exceed the income (down..not selling products..) the upkeep (monthly expenses for next 20 months) will be their downfall (when the investors finds out..they sell the shares)(the doors close like Saambou)..

only the postbank will survive..Oh..maybe Boland with Thebe (savings only)..

What gets me..
are all guys living in HOPE..
why will we not face the facts...
the facts are not going to change..

its like a person that got fat over 14 years..
the person can HOPE..
the person can have FAITH..
the person can LOVE..as much as the like..

BUT BY TOMORROW..when the person wakes up...HE is still going to be fat..

a complete new lifestyle is required..
a new business culture is required....

BUT..the current lot must first admit..accept..understand..believe..see..THAT THEY HAVE !@#$%^&*()_ up.

Then, and only then, will they WILLINGLY look for a new business culture..
What the current lot know about business...dangerous..
What the current lot know about looting....experts....
