Testing Automated EFT's

(I did try to drop in the Bookmaker section but I don't have posting privleges there).

A while back we signed up with Setcom to use a system called SID to automate EFT transfers into TAB Telebet accounts. The merchant is reputable (and has been in the game for years). They can transfer from ABSA, First National Bank, Nedbank or Standard Bank.

The system is now live, although we are in a test phase to see what problems are picked up. But very NB if you use the system it will transfer money from you bank account to your Telebet account - and your Telebet account will be credited within about 5-10 seconds.

So - please do help us test and let me know if you pick up any issues.

It is run off our new site - www.tabonline.co.za/bet/
You login then click the Deposit/Withdrawal button
Click on Internet Banking
Put in the amount (minimum R200) and click proceed.
Then click Pay using Internet Banking
You choose your bank and click on Proceed with Payment

Their system runs a check and downloads some software, and lets you know if you need to download any software. It then takes you to your Internet Banking - you put your usual login details. It populates the fields for you (so while it is populating fields don't click). There is a yellow bar at the top telling you what step SiD is expecting you to take. You can cancel at any time before you’ve clicked the last payment to actually do the transfer.

Once you're done you are returned to TAB and your account is credited. Please do not send the slip to Telebet - this is automatic. If there is a problem you are given a reference number.

If you have software problems you can phone their support line on (011) 531 5480. If you would like to check their site the address is: www.setcom.com/www/index.cfm

Sorry Mike withdrawals are still manual. Due to this they are done during Telebet hours. On average (depending on the bank) :
FNB - receive funds same day requested.
Others - first thing the next day.

Where there is a delay or your request is not processed please do let me know date / time / person (if you have) and I will follow up.

Please let me know the next time this happens so I can follow up immediately with the Telebet manager - e-mail is margsvs@gmail.com (check a few times a day - prefer this one online due to spam).
Then we can trace exactly what happened and why...

Mad Mike,

I suggest you use Saftote through Interbet. Your account is credited straight after the race and you would have your money by the next morning if you requested a withdrawal. The only exception would be weekends - your (bank) account is generally only credited on each Monday.

Is it just me? The issue with Saftote for years has been withdrawals and this has been mentioned in many posts.Today at 9:30 called for one and balance has not yet been reduced.
My question is: what kind of organization spends time and money giving priority to deposits when withdrawals is the problem?

that is my point exactly rob

my belief is this - by delaying your withdrawal they hope you take more bets. that way they increase turnover at your expense. unacceptable that on occasion it has taken 4 days to get my money off my account and a further day to show in my account

We also had a lot of complaints about deposits. With withdrawals there are various business processes that need to be taken into consideration and security, and we haven't sorted it all out yet - so unfortunately it isn't on the cards right now.

Rob Faux - I can't figure out how to PM (can you?) - please send me details of your withdrawal request (margsvs@gmail.com) so that I can follow up and find out what the delay is. There should not be a delay on the withdrawal.
