HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE SATURDAY 08 JUNE 2024 - HW GOLD CHALLENGE DAY

Very good racing today. 

Going to have a place double on Cousin Casey / Common Grounds.

Good punting to everyone and hopefully a good ,   fair days racing in store for us.

race 1 Difficult race. The 3 winners must all be respected with a personal preference for Impact Investor, but an interesting runner at the weights is Arjuna.
Race 2 Vibe SA should win but skinny price. Dapper probably the main danger.
Race 3. Competitive. Whistle the Tune my preference but many with chances.
race 4. I prefer Havana Moon to Great Plains as 3kg better off for a half length last time and gets a slightly better draw. However, quite a few others have scope for improvement so I'm loading up this leg.
Race 5  Jordan is the lurker which could improve enough to win this. Looks progressive and only has to improve a few kilos. Fighting talk from the stable regarding Mucho Dinero but I am skeptical despite the jockey booking. Oriental Charm has a tough task from the draw and giving weight but he is a lively July prospect. A few others with chances, but these three are the principals.
race 6 Double Grand Slam looks a banker.  Humdinger, Happy Chance, Bavarian Beauty and Celtic Rumours should fight out the places. I will be shouting for Celtic Rumours.
Race 7 My heart is with Sandringham Summit and hopefully the jockey does not again have him hopelessly off the pace. Main Defender the obvious main danger. See It Again is the best horse in the race and although this is a prep after a long break, he has run well this trip fresh and must be included in pick 6. Those 3 my shortlist. Others to consider if going long are Lucky Lad, Dave the King, Cousin Casey, Snow Pilot and the old man Al Muthana.
race 8 Very competitive. I will be shouting for Common Grounds, but he is worse off at the weights with Except Temptation and Teflon Man, which had excuses last time. Fourie has chosen to ride King of the Gauls and the Jhb visitor Troppo Veloce is best weighted, and I agree with Frodo she is the one to beat..
race 9 Not an easy task this trip for Nautical Landing but she must be respected as the older fillies are moderate.
