R1: My choice is The Specialist in front of Master Casper and Impact Investor

R2: I do think Vibe SA is vulnerable, Dapper imo has the right stuff, while Landseer could also go close.

R3: Open - You Bring Me Joy has the credentials, but may struggle from the draw - Khethiwe's Destiny improved and may also feature

R4: Looks a 2 horse affair between Great Plains (draw a worry) and Don't Cry For Me (who disappointed last time against Truth) - Mount Pinatubo might be a sprinter, but could be suited to the 1400, while Havana Moon also showed glimpses of good form - but if you fancy him, quite a few others come into the race

R5: Make or break; Mucho DInero has to win this to get into the July and bullish talk from the stable, while Richard another advantage - I do think however he is better from 2000 upwards, so a good pace would help (no stable mate to make the pace ?); some are under sufferance, but all of Ponte Pietra, Imelenzenyokoduduma and Shoemaker have chances as well; I am not a fan of Oriental Charm here (has to give the field weight), but I have been wrong before

R6:Double Grand Slam the obvious one, Humdinger the main danger with Celtic Rumours

R7: The big one - barring any shenanigans with the TCO2 'jabs', imo Main Defender will take a power of beating; others to consider obviously Sandringham Summit, while Lucky Lad (amazing last two wins) has to prove he stays; See It Again is said to have improved from last year, but would need to be at best (and may have something left in the tank for the July); Cousin Casey runs well at this track, has disappointed too many times for me - but has a place chance  with Dave the King; big talk about Snow Pilot and was only just behind SS in the KZN Guineas, so who knows ?

R8: Could be wrong of course, but I think Troppo Veloce will put the two boys in their place

R9: Disappointing Maiden to finish - I think one would need quite a few ....
