It will be interesting to see how the official handicapper sees the Gold Challenge. In my view, all of Al Muthana, Bingwa, Russian Rock, Silver Operator, ran more or less to their ratings, hence these should be the line horses. MKs Pride had to do a lot early from his wide draw and ran a bit below his rating; Linebacker came from far back and ran a few points below his rating, while Jet Dark a poor start and running on, but well below his lofty rating.
Al Muthana must now get in the July.
The Cup Trial nothing ran above 108, so none of them should get in.
The July remains very open this year. Most of those on the log are in with a shout at the weights.

Does Russian Rock deserve a chance? Has yet to place further than 1600m . Three tries and failed ...2200m seems way too far

Good win by Puerto Manzano. If Perfect Witness is used as the line horse he runs 122. But they might use Zilzaal in which case he could get punished up to 126, which will seriously hurt his July chances.
Nothing else in the Jubilee enhanced their July credentials, although clearly a stronger race than the Cup Trial.

Given that Russian Rock and Bingwa ran decent races a couple of lengths off in a Gr1, and Zilzaal and Second Base unplaced beaten 5 L in a Gr 3, this weekend, the former two may well be preferred to the latter two when the final field is picked.

Al Muthana is guaranteed a run. It won a "Win and you in race.
Silver Darling if supplemented is guaranteed a run also.
It leaves Waterberry Lane in a precarious position. Airways Law won a preferential race. According to the trainers social media it will be supplemented. Recently Coral Fever won the Jubilee when it was a preferential race, it got supplemented but never make the final field.
The first 15 horses on the log are pretty safe to get in.
I do hope Waterberry Lane makes it though.

As it stands this morning (unless runners like Jet Dark and Red Saxon are taken out), I think the first 16 on the log will get in (Al Muthana should come into the first 8 with all the others from 9 thru 16 dropping a place); I think it will depend if they deem Russian Rocks's run to be better than what Waterberry Lane achieved earlier - for me I think they will come in at 17 and 18; reserve spots to be fought out by Second Base, Zillzaal (nothing between them in the Jubilee), Nebraas, Bingwa and Sovereign Spirit - he could maybe squeeze in with a very convincing win tomorrow - but he has bled twice in the past year - so I would not hold high hopes for him

i think running on over 2000m W Lane should sway them as opposed to a horse yet to place over more than a mile Russian R

d) When questioned regarding his riding of MARINA, Jockey C Zackey told the Stewards that this filly had been ‘sluggish’ out of the starting stalls and as she does not have early pace in her races, he elected to position this filly at the rear of the field. He added that the filly had been one paced around the bend and he had been unable to improve position until straightening when he had asked this filly for an effort. It was his opinion that the filly had remained one paced despite his use of the crop and a vigorous hand ride in the home straight and that he felt MARINA shorten her stride in the closing stages. Mr Zackey was advised that his riding of the filly had come under notice in the early and middle stages of the Race and that he had been content to have a rearward position in the Race despite the form line of this filly suggesting that she is usually positioned more prominently in her races. It was also placed on record that the Veterinary Surgeon had inspected the filly and had found no abnormalities. Jockey C Zackey was further advised that his explanation would be recorded and the future performances of this filly will be monitored

Let's see if it makes the cut - I can't really see it - even though it is a 'preferential' entry - I would think the runners that took part in the Challenge is much more deserving
