we can start taking bets now into the gold cup Sparkling Water, after she won on Met day, i told myself that day that this has to be a serious race horse and probably the best stayer in south africa presently

I doubt Bingwa will get a run. Russian Rock has a higher merit rating and even he is not guaranteed to make it. I therefore think Kabelo Matsunyane will ride Sparkling Water. He has ridden her before.

as it stands Khumalo will ride Sparkling - has been taken off Jet Dark - De Melo might have to choose waterberry lake or Puerto ..JP probably Asterix

Thanks Mr H. Then Khumalo assumes the distance might just be too far for Jet Dark. De Melo is the stable jockey for Kannemeyer so he suppose to ride one of his horses.

The 17th and 18th position on the log in my opinion is between,

Russian Rock
Waterberry Lane
Airways Law

Its going to be interesting.

Yes interesting it will be - who will be on Zapatillas - if Mxothwa, he will need to shed a kg - as I don't think trainers will be too happy to have to carry extra pudding

Regarding the final 2 places, for me it SHOULD be between Russian Rock and Second Base or Zillzaal; both Waterberry Lane and Airways Law will be under sufferance; however I do suspect that 'they' would give the Plattner horse a run, while the last spot will probably go to either Russian Rock or Waterberry Lane; I also agree that Bingwa won't make it, so Matsunyane may get the ride on Zapatillas

JP after having won on Astrix, will probably keep the ride; de Melo - who knows, depends on which (if any) of the Kannemeyer horses get in, otherwise he will ride Puerto Manzano; interesting also that the connections have not yet declared Lerena on Kommet - is there a twist in this particular tale ?
