4 Racing have a massive challenge to get the tote right and gain customers confidence.

Basics

The tote takes money, they take a percentage and then split the balance on winning tickets.
The perfect system to have a no risk business.

Where the hell did they go wrong and continue to lose confidence.

Only possibly Betfair had a better ideal product.

Software issues are being experienced on play.tabonline.co.za that programmers are working on to resolve soonest. TAB telephone betting, however, is fully functional - call 0861 000 822 to place your bets.

The current problems with the site have resulted from the implementation of several overdue and much-needed software upgrades. These upgrades were thoroughly tested before installation, but once deployed in a live environment caused the system to fail.
TAB apologises to all customers for any inconvenience caused.

.....should rather have waited for a day when racing was off due to bad weather......this past Sunday would have been dandy......

Why are you okes still playing with the tote?
I know it's supposedly good for our racing but why should we have to put up with such garbage?
Until they treat the punter with some respect and actually do their jobs properly they won't see my money that's for sure.

......still with the tote as the bookies do not and can not offer quinella bets for France and Hong Kong venues.....also tote place payouts normally trump the meager payouts from bookies......not eveyone needs to back a winner.....I normally stay ahead by placing the dogs at better odds.....

So just tried again..call was answered and I explained my problem..was told she would put me through to Customer care..held on for 17 mins and gave up. Its pathetic truly pathetic. While they busy fixing and appointing people everywhere their very bread and butter the customers are hung out to dry. That media release is useless ..it helps nobody. Lets see if the new head honchos will read these complaints and have the balls to come on here and explain. I won't be holding my breath.

So clearly some of the management do look at ABC. I received a call from a lady at TAB who informed me that her manager had told her to call me. She listened to my story and told me someone would call back in a few minutes. This was done and everything was sorted. Im truly grateful but in all honesty it shouldn't be happening. Nevertheless credit to whoever read the posts and acted on them.
Once again it shows what a great job ABC csn do for everyone involved. Thank You.

So clearly some of the management do look at ABC. I received a call from a lady at TAB who informed me that her manager had told her to call me. She listened to my story and told me someone would call back in a few minutes. This was done and everything was sorted. Im truly grateful but in all honesty it shouldn't be happening. Nevertheless credit to whoever read the posts and acted on them.
Once again it shows what a great job ABC csn do for everyone involved. Thank You.

I have said on numerous occasions the ABC clan is not a secret society looking for problems, it's an open forum for punters to voice an opinion.
We unfortunately don't have a good relationship with firms like HW these days but they have at least come to grips that the posters are "THEIR" clients and not ABC if the new tote also follows this concept we could have many more happy punters if they understand their frustration is being heard ?

Overloaded Help lines with unskilled staff will never be the answer .

......I got sorted out too....late yesterday.....had a punt in the wee hours this morning as a test run.....site was hanging badly but got bets on......woke up 20min ago.....site still giving problems....I do hope they do not mess with my HK action later on....

Programmers worked through the night, but have not yet resolved all the software issues affecting the site.

Programmers are still working on the site to rectify intermittent glitches and are monitoring both the site’s stability and performance.

Look Betway still finding their feet but a huge organization and well run.
It might be the way to go, to have them run the tote via a state of the art system with proper deposit/withdrawal in place and correct payouts with a nogo zero return on any risk bet taken 🤔
