De Vlugge good win. Dawn Surprise good 2nd. I just missed  a 200/1 win double!

Two runners at Fairview on Friday.
Treasure Hunt in race 4. presumably she will go to stud soon, and hopefully can give the mare a double before she does (full sister to De Vlugge). Competitive race but has an ew chance. Stablemate  Priscilla Maisey tries this trip and if it suits she could be the one to beat.
Stroopsoet in race 8. Another open race but should be ready to give of her best 3rd run after a rest and change of province. Royal Kingdom looks the one to beat.

Treasure Hunt dropped out from wide draw and had too much ground to make up. Finished strongly in 4th beaten under 2 L.
Stroopsoet outpaced and this track and trip did not suit.

One runner at Scottsville on Sunday. Girlwithagoldheart makes her debut in race 3. I haven't seen her since the sales, but she was a lovely yearling and the full sister won her second start. Tough introduction going 1400m from a wide draw. However, apart from Act of Grace ,Cool Wind and the 4yo Tipperary, there is little other form. Hopefully, she is not too green and runs on into the minor places.

Girlwithagoldheart was not disgraced 8L off easy winner and 4L off the placed horses from a bad draw. In a similar field with a reasonable draw, should be in the places next time.

One runner at Greyville on Friday.  Dead Poets Society improved a bit second start and now steps up to the mile which will suit. Gets a nice draw and if he improves this trip could run into the money at long odds. Throw into quartets. There are some promising 3yos in this race and all of Pembury, Pied Piper and Director must be considered. The value may lie with Pied Piper at 6/1,  as I gave him a rating of 78 for his second start when beaten 3L by Bruh, and Bruh was bumped up from 84 to 99 by the handicapper for running midfield in the juvenile feature behind Jan Van Goyen at his next start.
Of the older horses, Tee Dog and Vencedor are capable, and Window To My Soul gets 4kg claimer but a wide draw. However, I'm in the camp of the improving 3yos.

DPS rather disappointing. However, he still looks like a big baby that hasn't filled his frame yet. Was bumped by the winner coming out the pens and lost his draw position, so was stuck at the back of the field. Moved up at a point, but then they sprinted away from him in the straight.

Three runners at Durbanville Saturday 30th.
*Golden Ideal in race 6. She should be carrying 48 but the minimum weight is 50, however, she gets both the appearance and the filly allowance so those 2 kg are not a train smash. Gets a reasonable draw of 5 and hopefully can get a handy position without too much stress. With some luck she can be in the money. She's my World is a classy 3yo that shouldn't be in this type of contest and is the one to beat. Plenty with chances.
*Golden Angel in race 8. Well in at the weights and gets a fair draw of 4. While she has been disappointing since her maiden win, she is physically stronger now and this trip should suit. She won her maiden this track. I make her a big runner. Happy Verse is a feature race 3yo, and also not the profile for which this series was conceived. He is probably better than his rating of 98, and despite having to give lumps of weight to older horses, he could be too classy for this field. Again, at the weights there are quite a few with chances.
Luca da Wheels in race 9. His 2 sprints in the soft were moderate, but he looks like a horse that needs time, and ground. He gets a plum draw and the step up to 1600m will suit if he has strengthened up sufficiently. Quite a strong field so just hoping that he shows improvement and gets a lot closer to the action.
Yamazaki looks the one to beat, but all of Getupandgo, Bugle Boy and World Warrior are progressive 3yos to consider. Konnichwa is the best of the older horses and will make the youngsters gallop.

One runner at Vaal on Saturday. Aussenkher runs over 1450m in race 5. Sadly, he is most likely to finish last again.

Aussenkher less said the better.

Golden Ideal fair run but missed the places. Have retired her to stud.
Golden Angel very unfortunate. Was well positioned when it seemed that Orfer's mount came across her and she had to check. Unfortunately Cole Dicken then fell off and broke his wrist. There is an inquiry into the incident.
Thankfully the filly did not fall, and pulled up fine.
Luca Da Wheels did not show the hoped for improvement.

One runner at Vaal Tuesday. Step Into It in race 7. He won well last time and now tries the 2000m. He looks a progressive sort, and hopefully he can win again. He has to give weight to a bunch of hard knockers which can sometimes be tricky for a young 3 yo. His rating seems fair, and both the runner up and 3rd horse from his win have run second at their next starts. If he doesn't win, its a very tricky race, although the main dangers look to be Bob Lee Swagger and Stop The Traffic. Red Sparrow ran well a couple of days ago, and got a 1kg penalty which she escapes here.

Step Into It very disappointing. Jock reported took no interest. Vet report -sensitive back. I'm not a fan of hacking to the start with feet out the stirrups and bouncing on the horses back.

One runner at Durbanville on Wednesday.
Double Dash in race 5. Returns from a bit of a break and presumably vaccinations. Has run quite well at Durbanville last season. If fit and well then should be competitive- quite well in getting fillies allowance. Not a great draw, but a small field and enough time on the back stretch. Van Niekerk knows her well and won on her. Open contest. Kings Quest has consistent form. Better Man improving 3yo. Could be the two to beat.

Double Dash pushed forward and faded out. Probably needed the run.

One runner at Fairview on Friday
Lyrics and Songs makes her debut in race 1. Nice filly, but will probably need further. Will watch with interest
The Greeff first timer Lotus Silk has been priced up favourite.
Iced Marmalade has fair form. Mediterraneanflame decent second run and looks good place value.

Moderate debut by Lyrics and Songs.

One runner at Turffontein on Saturday.
On an Impulse in race 5. Needs to improve and to settle early on. Small place chance.
Follow the Master and World Order look likely to fight it out.

On an Impulse 3rd but the winner won by 10L

One runner at Durbanville on Sunday
Disruptive in race 3
Hasn’t shown much so far but the sprints and heavy going are not his game.
Expecting improvement this trip although he is still maturing and needs to strengthen up.
Red Wave looks the one to beat although wide draw and quite a big weight. The 4 yos must be respected under these conditions.

Disruptive failed to improve.

One runner at Fairview on Friday. Treasure Hunt in race 5.
Competitive race, but she is very game and consistent. As usual, an ew chance. Family Power, State Secret and Green Isle make up the shortlist, but just about anything could win this.

Treasure Hunt  no show.

Two runners at Durbanville on Saturday
Caribbean Gold debuts in race 1. Speedy family, and hopefully can make her presence felt despite wide draw. Lots of first timers. Of the raced runners, Lyrical Gangster has shown ability.

Call to Unite in race 4. Comes off a break and may need it. Has done well this track, although 1600m on the sharp side. very open race. Vapor Trail a useful youngster taking on older hard knockers.

Very nice debut by Caribbean Gold- just pipped for 2nd. Was green and will come on from this run. Should not be a maiden for long.

Call To Unite fair run in 5th. Watch over further.

One runner at Scottsville on Sunday. Dawn Surprise in race 7. Regained form last two and should again be involved in the finish. Boardwalk Breeze is an improving youngster and I make him the one to beat. Golden Aspen can't be ignored.
