Sargent Hardy 119
Bold Respect 118
PP up to 115 after the week end. equal to Monkmood rating another 3yr old.
Attenborough 114

year in year out the sprinters ratings are to high.

Not really if you consider the 6 point increase. It would not be considered over the top if Bold respects rating was 112 which it boils down to without the one off penalty given this season.

I think the gasping at the numbers is an illusion given because of the 6point coming in, and then people compring them vs the last few years before the overall rise in ratings across the board.

I gave him a 114 using Sunset Eyes ( I think) as the fulcrum horse. With no consideration to races won, nor stakes earned, nor position ran. Not sure if I should celebrate or cry but I’ll buy the bucket of beers.

I also think Sunset Eyes is the best suited to use as 'line horse' - on my calcs that would make BR 114, PP 111 (much the same as his Computaform Sprint rating) and Attenborough 110 (also the same as my Computaform Sprint rating)

Oscar, I have big respect for you, in this case maybe just accept that you have a very good sprinter on your hands - and the rating should reflect that; all the best with this fellow going forward B)

Thanks Frodo, I too respect posters such as yourself, Elvis, Shrek, Sylvester, Mac etc however some posters on this site are just here to cause trouble and stir behind anonymous names and thats why most racing people laugh at the site and ask why do you post there which is unfortunate.

The Mercury sprint will be interesting as the sprinter of the year category is going to be contentious unless one of the G1 winners doubles up or PP wins.

They must seriously consider moving this prestigious group 1 wfa race to scotsville as its way to draw bias being run around the turn at greyville ..it was always run up the straight before tragedy struck

For the punters here I would place maximum bet on Bold Respect I see 33/10 anything that beats PP over 1200m and is not racing against PP will win.
