I agree these look a bit high - I have Attenborough at 108.
Also interesting is that Coral Fever has been given 120 after his success in the Champions Challenge - which would make him top weight for the July - so probably unlikely to run.
I'm also interested to find out what the plans are with Legal Eagle - will he go to KZN to contest the Gold Challenge and / or Champions Cup ?

Ridiculous ratings. The higher rated horses all had an off day.
Interesting to see Coral Fever given a 120 rating. I wonder if they would still consider running him in the July having to give a horse like African Night Sky 6 kg's off current ratings.

112 for Pinnacle Peak is ridiculous to the extreme.. we worked it out in box to 105.. which horse was used as collateral for line?

Just won a Grade 3 and ran second in a Grade 1, doubt he will want to be running in handicaps again

Oscar firstly when you accept to run in a gp 1 at WFA and you are running under sufferance with the majority of the field and you happen to run in the top 5 you open yourself up for a huge hike in ratings ,,if the race was a handicap the winner would have been giving you an extra 3.5kg which is 7 pounds so just with the winner you were 7 pounds under sufferance and you ran him to a length...If you dig deeper when you won the group 3 you recieved THE MAXIMUN PENALTY FOR THAT RACE WHICH WAS 6 POUNDS BUT I GUARANTEE YOU THAT YOU RAN TO A MUCH HIGHER RATING BUT THE HANDICAPERS HANDS ARE TIED BECAUSE OF THE INTERFERENCE BY OTHERS ,,IN THAT RACE ONLY THE WINNER CAN GET A PEN OF UP TO 6 POUNDS AND THE PLACED HORSES GET ZERO..YOU BEAT green plains that day and you were 4 pounds under sufferance with her and you beat her by almost 3 lengths ...you probably ran to a 107 that day not a 103 ...If you appeal the rating you might get at the max 2 pounds taken off his rating but imo no more ...

Pirates thanks, you will know where Im coming from when I now say that I don't care anymore, they (whoever they are) can put him to a MR 250 for all I care..the horse can never run in a handicap in SA ever again and won't. They can now take the pressure off people like me who just want racing to be fun and relaxed and not care about what any authority does, I care too much for the horses I own, even the ones that were retired but allowed to be put back into racing.
