The guy has stolen from us all if you have any investments in funds and most importantly Pension or Provident funds. This affects all South Africans.

Lots of topic related discussions active on ABC currently . Some pro Jooste , some anti Jooste , some neutral , like it should be in any democracy . Lets take racing out of play and look at it from some-one who will be retiring soon and hopefully his monthly contribution towards pension and provident retirement funds have shown accepted growths over the years . Most Asset Managers are currently still exposed to Steinhoff as it featured in most analyst recommendations , albeit a small potion of total portfolio . The latest developments will have a negative influence on your growth . If you retire in the next year or 2 , it will affect you . If this negative growth was due to the greed of one person and proven , then it surely it is a criminal act and therefore should be handled as such.
If this was due to fake news , then Christo Wiese should find the source and sue the living daylights out of him/her . After all , this bombshell that hit the market yesterday , only took 30 billion from his paper wealth .
Steinhoff might survive , it is a huge conglomerate of businesses , but it certainly have been exposed to the whole world that creative accounting might have taken place.

For that the culprit(s) must be held accountable

SO, Cycad, some " creative accounting" MIGHT have taken place, so the culprit(s) " MUST" be held accountable ?

There is nothing "MIGHT" about this Louis.

And yes 1000% the guilty parties MUST be held accountable

CEO's do not resign and admit to making "mistakes" because they don't like what has been said about them. Boards do not agree to irregularities because something negligible has happened and Auditors do not refuse to sign financials because two Chappies went missing.

I actually do not care about the impact on racing, surely the people affected by this across the world are more important. People are losing jobs and most sad are those whose pensions have been impacted and in some cases devastated.

It is irrelevant whether or not MJ is/was a "good" guy or whether or not anyone likes or dislikes him. There are real negative consequences for many, many people and I am sure that many of them are nice too.

If he is found guilty, he must face the consequences like a man (please don't take the easy way out MJ - for the sake of your family). He can come back from this....anyone can.

Louisg ,
it is not me saying it , it is the trend on every financial publication , can they all have it wrong? do they all follow one source ? I do not know and cannot answer , only 1 person can answer and as I said many times before , if it was a deliberate , vicious and untrue attack on 1 person , throw the might of the law at them with lawsuits...etc
