Has Superman lost his Powers ?

I'm not sure what to make of this. But Anton Marcus mostly rides in KZN these days. Yesterday he had fancied runners based on form in races 1 and 2, favorites in races 3 and 4. The first two races he didn't hit the board. The next 2 he could only manage seconds with the almost odds on shots. Issues in race 6, fancied in race 7 based on form (unplaced). Odds on banker according to everyone race 9 managed a dirty second. And after 7 tries won the last

This from a former champion and a rider who selects his mounts based on form and only riding predominantly in KZN. Maybe he needs a rest to decide if this is still his passion because his form of late definitely lacks determination. It will certainly save us the agony.

On The Bounce appears to have many issues and from what i saw the horse was not up to it.That was also evident in Anton's body language and i thought i 'saw' Veale ask something of Anton behind and he shrugged his shoulders

Hero's Welcome wasnt the form horse in the race

When listening to Goodmans podcast I got the impression he felt his wasnt a worthy favourite or at best too short. The winner was just 0.05 behind in the Dame Commander race

Varallo is a difficult ride and i thought he did well to get him to rally at the death

Cumulus had no chance winning that race

That leaves us with Pearl Glow and her odds were ridiculously low, first time on the poly i thought he did well to get her to finish second

just my opinion

^ agreed. Anton usually has the best strike rate in the country. Great jock. Which jockey doesn't lose on favourites - seriously most of the time his mounts are only favourite because he's sitting on it.

Thanks for responding guys, I guess I'm alone on this one. Personally I could never follow him with any degree of confidence of late. Perhaps in the days when Charles Laird was a super power with Jooste's Ferarri's but not now.

Not sure why you would follow blind anyway? When he gets in a plane thats when to follow

I actually don't follow blindly. I just made Stevelio my anchor in all my multiples. Purely based on 1 draw, excellent first run and ally whopee already had 7 tries so this one had all the improvement to come. Needless to say everything but Stevelio came home and I wasn't pleased with the ride of letting the front one get so far away then hoping to catch! Especially from a 1 draw having watched the first run of the horse.

No Gladiator, you are not alone. The only 2 jocks I will have a serious bet on are Delpach and Lerena. I feel Marcus loses a few more races that he shouldn't. Delpach and Lerena, on the otherhand, win a few more races that they shouldn't.

My personal observation.

He's just a little homesick for Krypton. He'll get over it.
