I just don't think you can follow anyone's form in KZN from September to March.....

Purely based on 1 draw, excellent first run and ally whopee already had 7 tries so this one had all the improvement to come. Needless to say everything but Stevelio came home and I wasn't pleased with the ride of letting the front one get so far away then hoping to catch! Especially from a 1 draw having watched the first run of the horse.

......maybe the Goodman horse did not act as well on the change of surface....

Goodman did say in his preview that the horse is still a bit dumb, slow from the gate and needs further. No fault of Anton as he was handy, however the change to Polly suited the winner imo. Kennedy did well to lead from a good draw and skip clear with a natural front runner in the short straight. 1600m scottsville turf would have been a different result I think.

if u saw Anton ride that horse for Puller the other day , think it was Ever Dear , then tell me he has lost his zest  , he is the last of a generation of real horsemen to be produced by our jockey academy :(

The first two races he didn't hit the board. The next 2 he could only manage seconds with the almost odds on shots. Issues in race 6, fancied in race 7 based on form (unplaced). Odds on banker according to everyone race 9 managed a dirty second. And after 7 tries won the last

This from a former champion and a rider who selects his mounts based on form and only riding predominantly in KZN. Maybe he needs a rest to decide if this is still his passion because his form of late definitely lacks determination. It will certainly save us the agony.

Some jocks are good on turf and cannot ride on polytrack. Was annoying to see all the front running of which he was the main player....made it tougher than it should have been on tommy grand....failed on varallo

But he remains the master has and always be a big race rider with a top strike rate.....forget all the minor races

There's a lot of "kak" spoken on here, most of the knowledgeable guys have moved on.

there is NO doubt Anton is one of the best in the business and although he has been cleaning up at a high % for many years, i had the pleasure of seeing Basil ride and if Anton is indeed superman then Basil in his day was ( i wanna say god) but don't want to piss too many off tonight.

What a load of rubbish. Marcus is class and moreover he rode Stelvio perfectly!
If you saw USO i thought the 1200 would be on the sharp side and if you listened to the interbet podcast i clearly said the poly would probably be her undoing. She ran great and Marcus did his best. Who is the new JCL called Gladiator! This horsesht does not deserve to be posted Bob
