With respect to all it makes no difference if the horse won or not and also if he is a difficult ride it doesn't mean you beat the crap out of him to get him to do what you want. The rule is the rule now that he's been called in let's see if our wonderfull authorities do the right thing. We will just agree to disagree IMO that was excessive use of the stick.

he certainly is protected mr khumalo he got a 1500rand fine what a joke,,striker gets a 2500 fine for his whip transgression on green top..the stipes report make for interesting reading especially the july and its very evident that the greyville grass track cannot take 18 runners and its time for vee moodley to find other ways of increasing turnover instead of the best race in natal becoming a fucking farce..time for change

That R1500 fine must have made a real dent in the pocket after claiming a share of the R800k stake for second

I agree with most views here on the use of the whip on AS..personally I can't understand why he didn't switch the whip to left hand to straighten horse up...also which horse got that heavy hiding at the start..eish no good..Bob if you have footage of the bleeding out of the mouth before the start I would love to see that?

My sympathy to the horse as for the Jock Oxymoron .......
they should stop fining these morons and rather hit them with these so called Whips that dont hurt the horses then we can see if these whips are so harmless .....

the groom on minimum wage was fined a big amount

I didn't find anything wrong with the ride but the fine shows he did something wrong

the rich jockeys pay small fine

poor grooms pay big fine

insiders game , certain people are protected

They brought a rule in a few years ago in UK that in riding a 'Finish'a horse must not be struck with a whip more than 7 times.Jockeys are getting called up regularly for tansgressing this rule.
Particularly applies to NH races.
One of my favourite jockeys ,who knew how to encourage a horse with a whip without excessive use was Muis.

R1500 doesn't matter to someone earning millions

r1500 only matters to someone earning minimum wage
