Please be advised that the following horse has been scratched from this year’s Vodacom Durban July by trainer, Justin Snaith.

ELUSIVE SILVA (Reason: Lame Off Fore Time: 17:27 Date: 22 June 2017)

HORIZON now becomes a runner with jockey Richard Fourie up.

One of my pet hates in racing. We get a 15% on Elusive Silva but get nothing back for Horizon being added at 14/1. Either the horse coming into the race shouldn't be taken into account on any bets prior to the scratching or have the runner added back at the price it opens off the deduction.

Hollywood really leading the way on this one. WSB also slapped me with a 15% deduction, and the price of the horse I chose actually drifted out further after the scratching... Sucks!!!

Remember the deduction will apply depending when you wagered your bet. If you took the bet after the final field was declared then betting with a run and deduction rule will apply and you will get a refund on Elusive Silva.

If you took an ante post bet then there is no refund on Elusive Silva likewise no deductions.

When Elusive Silva just got withdrawn Hollywood did have 15% deduction.
